The bushland is home to a wealth of native flora and fauna species.

We are a group based around Victoria Park and South Perth dedicated to the preservation of Jirdarup Bushland Precinct (Kensington Bushland, George St Reserve and Kent St Sandpit) and the promotion of its importance in the community. Jirdarup Bushland Precinct is an area of urban bushland between Etwell Street & Baron-Hay Court in East Victoria Park and managed by the Town of Victoria Park (ToVP) f

Check out our plants from yesterday. They look soooo good. And no sign of those pesky rabbits.

Thanks everyone who came out this morning. Now listen to that rain watering those seedlings in.

If you missed this morning, there is another planting day on 14 July.

Congratulations to all involved. This 300 year old Balga will continue to be loved when the Carlisle property it lives on is sold.

It has been on the Town of Victoria Park Significant Tree Register since 2001

Remember Julie Podstolski photo of the Red-capped Robin last year? Here is her pencil sketch that she has shared with us.

Brilliant Julie.

Don't forget you can start planting food for our birds this Sunday. They probably don't care if the food is in Kensington or Manning.

South Perth and nearby residents, get down to Davilak Bushland on 7 June to get a taste of planting (then you can come to Baron-Hay Court on 14 June.)

Here's the details for Davilak:

Sunday 7 June 9 to 12noon
Meet at the pavilion in the banksia woodland at Davilak Cresent.

City of South Perth is bringing all the equipment. You just need to dress for a day in the bush.

Please register with the Town of Vic Park so they have some idea of who is coming.

With the rain this week, these plants should get off to a great start. We want them to thrive to provide a strong barrier for our bushland before the site development begins.
