Athletics West is hosting an exciting weekend of combined events, bringing together athletes from U7 right through to Seniors!
Whether you're keen to test your skills, try something new or challenge yourself against athletes from across WA, this is a fantastic opportunity to give it a go!

🏃♂️ WHAT'S ON OFFER?
There's something for every age group!
🟢 U7 & U8 – Tri Challenge
A fun combination of running, jumping and throwing.
🟢 U9, U10 & U11 – Quadrathlon
Four events to put your all-round athletics skills to the test!
🏅 U12, U13 & U14 – Pentathlon
Five events where every performance counts towards your overall score.
🏅 U15 & U16 – Heptathlon
Seven events designed to challenge your strength, speed, endurance and technique!
A few things to know:
⭐ U7–U11 events are participation-based and do not award medals.
🏆 U12 and above compete in championship events, with medals up for grabs.
✅ No qualifying standards are required! All eligible athletes are welcome to nominate.
💪 HOW DOES IT WORK?
Combined events are all about being an all-round athlete!
You'll earn points for your performances across each event, with your combined points determining your final placing in the championship competitions.
Athletes must complete every event in their competition to receive an overall result. Missing an event will result in disqualification.
And remember, you don't have to be amazing at every event! That's what makes combined events so exciting. It's about having a go, challenging yourself and maybe even discovering a new favourite event along the way!
⚠️ IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES
📣 Saturday Competition Clash
For our U12+ athletes, the event timetable will clash with our usual Saturday competition at Kingsway.
If your athlete will be attending the Athletics West event instead of our regular Saturday competition, please let us know as early as possible so this can be taken into account when organising our parent helper roster.
👕 Uniform Requirements
Athletes representing their Centre at state-level competitions must wear the appropriate Centre uniform top. Kingsway office is open on Saturday mornings for purchases
🙋 Parent Volunteering
Volunteering is compulsory for this event. Families will need to complete the volunteer requirements, with further information and registration available through the Athletics West event page.
