On Saturday 18th April the WACUA held its Annual Award Dinner where we gathered to celebrate key milestones and umpire awards.
Peter McConnell Medal
Peta Merrilees
We congratulate Peta on winning the Peter McConnell Medal, the medal is presented to an umpire who has made significant progress in their individual development, shown commitment to be the best umpire they can be and have the greatest potential to progress through to the next level.
Peta has had an outstanding season making her 1st grade debut, being appointed to her first WBBL match and more WNCL matches, in addition to this Peta was appointed to the final of the Male Under 17 Championships and was recently appointed to a Female International Under 19 Tri-series in Brisbane.
We look forward to your continued development and journey in umpiring Peta.

Matthew Hall & Ahmad Khan
We congratulate Ahmad on winning his first best 1st Grade umpire award. Ahmad also completed his 100th 1st Grade match and was appointed to the 1st Grade one & two day finals.
We congratulate Matthew on winning his sixth best 1st Grade umpire award and third in a row. Matthew won his first best 1st Grade umpire award in the 2011-12 season.
