Hey Karate Parents, πŸ‘‹πŸ½

Over 500 firefighters are still battling an intense bushfire at Wooroloo, which remains at an Emergency Warning.

Some families close to us all have already loss so much and so many have had to leave lots behind.

Our thoughts and prayers of the IGKS team are with you. I hope you are all staying safe out there.

Please continue to stay up to date with the official warnings at www.emergency.wa.gov.au

πŸ˜‚ Karate is like Marco Polo? πŸ˜‚

β€œ...Marco Polo brought noodles to Italy and created spaghetti. The ingredients were imported from China. Similar alike to karate, it was imported to Okinawa! πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ β€œ, Jesse Enkamp! 😯

What is a ROLE MODEL? A role model encourages you to be a better person, take chances and be the truest version of yourself.

The month of November happens to be known as National Gratitude Month, so in this upcoming November, I challenge you to tag your role model with the hashtag above and show them you're grateful!

Below are two pictures of myself and two very influential people who have played a key role in who I have grown to be as a young adult. Both have taught me so much, from how to cook - to - have a strong work ethic! To that, I say thank you!

Our first ever BUDDY WEEK is being bought to our Osborne Park & Scarborough Dojos!

During this week, we encourage our students to bring a friend to karate and join in on all the benefits karate can have for you!

This Buddy Week we will focus on the importance of respect and confidence by maintaining good eye contact when we talk to each other for our kanga students. The junior students will learn the 3D's. This is a method teaches children to detect, defuse and defend ourselves from bullying in the school playground. Our more advanced students will learn breakfalls to learn how to safely fall without injuring ourselves, and some fun defence techniques.

If you want to see what all the fuss is about, head to our website https://www.whitebelt.co/pages/mt-hawthorn-54 and purchase our 5 CLASSES + FREE UNIFORM (uniform valued at $75) FOR ONLY $39.99 and join in on BUDDY WEEK!
