On Saturday, May 23, Swimming WA hosted the 2026 National Championships Awards hosted by New Town Toyota, recognising the incredible achievements of WA's athletes on the national stage. 🏊‍♂️

Kate delivered an outstanding Nationals campaign which culminated in being a top 3 finalist for the Hancock Prospecting Perpetual Trophy.

🏅 400m Freestyle National Record – Gold Coast Nationals
🏅 3km Open Water National Champion
💪 Selected into the 2026/27 WA Performance Pathway (WA Development Squad athlete)
Beyond her performances in the pool, and setting multiple Swimming Australia and Virtus World records, Kate continues to lead by example through her dedication to the sport, support of her teammates, and encouragement of younger swimmers within our club.

We are incredibly proud of all our athletes on their outstanding achievements and the way they continue to represent our club both in and out of the pool and a big shout out to head coach Eoin Carroll and Meg Hobson for supporting our athletes 🎉

From early mornings on pool deck to behind-the-scenes organising, timing, fundraising, team managing and everything in between - our club simply wouldn’t exist without you.
