CBC is proud to be working alongside AUSPAN Group on the delivery of a large-scale industrial shed for Purearth.

Designed to support Purearth’s expanding operations, the new facility marks an exciting step forward for the project. We look forward to seeing construction get underway.

Meet Yao Jiang, Senior Structural Engineer at CBC.

Yao holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Structural Engineering and is a Member of Engineers Australia. With more than 20 years of experience in civil and structural design, he has developed particular expertise across residential, mixed-use, industrial, and childcare developments, along with extensive knowledge of steel, concrete, and timber design.

He brings a depth of technical capability to the team, supported by broad design experience across a wide range of project types and materials.

In his spare time, Yao enjoys reading, badminton, running, and chess.

Meet Josh Parker, Senior Structural Engineer at CBC.

Josh holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Structural Engineering and brings 13 years of experience from Structerre Consulting and Prompt Engineering before joining Constructive Building Consultants, where he has now been part of the team for five years.

His engineering background is backed by extensive industry experience and a practical approach to structural design and project delivery.

Outside of work, Josh enjoys spending time with family, running, and playing guitar.

Meet Matt Perrella, Building Officer at CBC.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Construction Management and a Graduate Diploma in Building Surveying. He brings more than 10 years of experience in private certification, having previously worked with TESG and Perth Building Certifiers before joining the CBC team.

His background in certification has helped shape a strong understanding of compliance pathways, project requirements, and the practical detail needed to support smooth project delivery.

Progress continues at Saunton Apartments in Jindalee, with the project moving closer to completion and the overall vision now clearly taking shape on site.

CBC is proud to be working alongside Thomas Building and as the building surveyor on this development, supporting the project through the later stages of construction and the compliance pathway that helps bring complex multi-residential projects toward occupation.

Meet Izzy Hosnie, Building Officer at CBC.

Izzy is a Level 2 Building Surveying Practitioner, holds an Advanced Diploma in Building Surveying, and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors. With 14 years of experience in the building industry, including the past six years as a qualified building surveyor, he brings extensive knowledge of onsite construction methodologies and insurance rebuild projects.

His experience on the ground gives him a practical perspective on compliance, with a strong understanding of how projects come together in real-world construction environments.

Away from work, Izzy enjoys biking, volleyball, hockey, running, and reading.

Meet Trent Brand, Building Officer at CBC.

Trent is a Building Officer and BAL Assessor with a background that includes roles in sales with Red Bull, Schweppes, and Asahi, as well as time spent as a radio announcer with Triple M. His varied experience brings strong communication skills and a practical, people-focused approach to his role.

He adds a fresh perspective to the team, with a background that blends client engagement, industry experience, and clear communication.

In his spare time, Trent enjoys music, sports, gaming, coffee, and beer.

Meet Gareth Russell, Building Officer at CBC.

Gareth is a Building Surveying Practitioner – Technician and is currently completing his Advanced Diploma in Building Surveying. He specialises in Western Australian residential projects and brings more than 25 years of experience in architecture and building compliance across South Africa, the UK, and Australia, with experience spanning both residential and commercial design.

His broad industry background brings a well-rounded perspective to projects, combining design knowledge with a strong understanding of practical compliance requirements.

When he’s not at CBC, Gareth enjoys guitar and piano, songwriting and home studio recording, 3D printing and design prototyping, travel, photography, and cricket.
