Thank you to all our incredible athletes that took part in our Southern River Doubles Classic over these past 2 Sundays.

The level of competition was next level across every category, the play was beautiful to watch and the size of peoples smiles was simply heartwarming.

We hope you all enjoyed competing.

The ever talented Kelly Chapman Photographer Perth captured this so perfectly, please have a look through some of the pics in her gallery.

Today is R U OK?Day. 💛

*Your mate hasn’t replied in the group chat.
*The player who’s normally first to put their name down hasn’t registered.
*Your doubles partner seems quieter than usual.
*Someone who never misses a session hasn’t been at the courts lately.
*The person who normally hangs around for a chat packs up and leaves straight away.
*Your teammate says they’re fine… but something just feels different.

Sometimes the signs are obvious.
Sometimes they’re as simple as someone not quite being themselves.

Pickleball gives us plenty of reasons to get together — but sometimes the most important conversation we have at the courts has nothing to do with pickleball.

If you notice a change, check in.

If you’re thinking it, Ask R U OK? Any Day. 💛

R U OK?Day is tomorrow, Thursday 10 September.

We have such a wonderful and beautifully souled pickleball community around us here is WA. So we know everyone’s hearts is in the right place when it comes to our pickleball mates, so…

If you've noticed a change in someone and you’re thinking about checking in, ask R U OK?, but before you do, do a quick check on yourself first to make sure you are best equiped for the interaction ❤️

It was all smiles as Pickleball was featured at this year’s 2026 WA Aquatics & Recreation Conference.

Pickleball Association of Western Australia had the absolute pleasure of talking all things pickleball to hundreds of delegates explaining this isn't just a trend—it's one of the fastest-growing sports in the world and how it can breathe new life into venues across our great state.

From facility requirements and programming ideas to club development and activating existing spaces, the session provided practical advice for organisations looking to grow participation and expand their recreation offering.

We had an absolutely wonderful time, thank you to LIWA Aquatics for allowing us to be part of this year’s conference.

For our community, we can’t wait to share with you all the venues where pickleball courts are being activated so we can bring the play.
