Champion Lakes parkrun

Good morning parkrunners. Each week we get the beautiful opportunity to run and walk at the lake and this only happens because fantastic volunteers put their hand up to say yes to volunteering in one of the 10 different roles that we need filled to enable our event to take place each week.

We’re pleased to confirm that Champion Lakes parkrun will be going ahead this Saturday, 25 April (ANZAC Day).

In Australia, parkrun has a longstanding partnership with Invictus, known as Team Veteran, proudly supporting the Defence community to walk, run and volunteer at parkrun events across the country. Through this relationship, we know just how important the parkrun routine is for thousands of veterans, their families, and supporters every Saturday morning.

parkrun Australia has worked closely with Invictus to promote parkrun as a meaningful opportunity to come together, be active, and connect socially on ANZAC Day — a way to honour service while supporting wellbeing and community.
