Our Val Murphy Trophy and Men’s Premiership sides didn’t get the results they were looking for in Week One, but after both finishing the regular season as minor premiers, their seasons are far from over.

Both teams get a second chance this weekend in the Preliminary Finals.

A 32–8 win over the South Perth Lions has booked their place on the biggest stage, with the boys now getting the opportunity to defend their title and go back-to-back.

After suffering an injury during the preseason, Blake Wadwell has worked his way back and is finally ready to pull on the Bears jersey again.

A First Grade premiership winner from last season, Blake makes his return through Reserve Grade this weekend — and what better time to be back than Round One of the finals.

Our Women’s Tackle side kicks off the weekend on Friday night, before Third Grade, Val Murphy Trophy and Men’s Premiership take the field on Saturday.

Our 2026 Heritage Jerseys are going under the hammer, with numbers 1–20 available through our silent auction. Each jersey is a one-off opportunity to own a special piece of the Bears while directly supporting the club.
