Meet Nat, one of our wonderful Social Members! 👋

Nat joined the Perth Bowling & Recreation Club with her husband, Lance, after moving to Perth late last year—and she has quickly become a valued part of our club community.

A regular volunteer, Nat has been busy helping maintain and refresh the gardens and club surrounds. You may have noticed the beautiful new garden areas taking shape towards the riverside of the club—Nat has played a big part in bringing them to life! 🌱🌸

Nat loves catching up with friends, meeting new people and enjoying the friendly atmosphere around the club. One of her favourite events is our monthly Thursday night live music with Perth Folk and Roots. 🎶

The Perth Cup isn't far away.

Entries are starting to fill up for the Perth Cup but we still have some spots available.

Open to any affiliated bowlers, enter via BowlsLink just scan the QR code for the BowlsLink App or search Perth Cup.

🚧 TEMPORARY CLUB CLOSURE 🚧

The Perth Bowling & Recreation Club will be temporarily closed from Saturday 18 July until Thursday 23 July while important facilities upgrades are completed.

The works will include the installation of new carpets and an upgraded coolroom, helping us improve the Club for our members, guests and visitors.

The Club will reopen at 4:00pm on Thursday 23 July.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while these improvements are carried out. We look forward to welcoming everyone back!

💚 A Wonderful Act of Sportsmanship and Generosity 💚

It was a pleasure to welcome visitors Ian and Kay from Kings Meadows Bowling Club in Tasmania to our Social Bowls yesterday.

After sharing the winning honours with their third teammate, Quentin, Ian and Kay generously donated their prize money to help Quentin purchase a bowling arm.

Quentin who was a top sportsman in his day is recovering from a stroke and has turned to the bowling green as part of his recovery. With a new bowling arm on the way, we have no doubt he will soon become a real force on the green!

This thoughtful gesture is a wonderful example of the friendship, generosity and community spirit that makes our sport so special.

Thank you, Ian and Kay, and we wish you both safe and enjoyable travels throughout Western Australia and the rest of Australia. We hope to see you back at the Perth Bowling & Recreation Club again! 🌏🧳

🎳 SOCIAL BOWLS IS ON TONIGHT!

With bad weather forecast tomorrow we are bringing Social Bowls forward to Wednesday this week!

Join us this Wednesday evening at the Perth Bowling Club for a relaxed and enjoyable night of social bowls.

Financial Ordinary Members and Life Members of the Perth Bowling & Recreation Club Inc. are invited to attend the Club’s 2026 Annual General Meeting.

Members interested in helping shape the future direction of the Club are encouraged to nominate for an Office Bearer position. Nomination Forms are available from the Club or on the Club website.

Completed nominations must be emailed or returned to the Club by close of business on Monday, 3 August 2026. Late nominations cannot be accepted.

Please note that only financial Ordinary Members and Life Members are eligible to participate in the nomination and election process. If you wish to upgrade your membership please email [email protected]

We encourage all eligible members to attend and have their say in the future of our Club.

Join us on Thursday July 9th from 6pm for a fantastic night of live music at Perth Bowling & Recreation Club, 2 Plain Street, East Perth.

This month we’re featuring:

🎸 Retro Junkies – a Perth rock and blues band playing classic rock/blues songs, with all members bringing decades of playing experience.

🪕 Up and Adam – a local Western Australian claw hammer banjo player influenced by old time, mountain style, traditional American folk and roots music.

Today we’re celebrating Indy, President Peter’s much-loved dog and one of the true personalities of the club! 🐾

Indy does a wonderful job helping run the club in her own special way — meeting and greeting everyone who comes down, making members and visitors feel welcome, and of course lending a paw with food tasting duties whenever required. 😄

She loves being at the club, enjoys chasing the greens roller, and is always very happy to collect plenty of pats and attention along the way.

If you see Indy at the club, make sure you wish her a Happy 10th Birthday and give her a pat from all of us! 🐶🎂

We’ve rolled out the welcome mat… literally. 😄

Perth Bowling Club’s entrance has had a fresh little update with a brand new welcome mat — because every great club visit should start with a stylish step.

We’re also getting new air conditioning installed this week, so over the next few days please just mind any tradies’ gear around the place.

Opening hours remain unchanged, so we’ll be open as usual.
