Big day in the shed finally getting the LCR setup after putting the new power plant in. With life being so busy for our first ride it was pretty much motor in and go racing!
Was nice to spend the time and get it setup today for the next round. A big Thankyou to Murray Stonach and Darryl McLeod for your help and advice today, we really appreciate it. We are lucky to have their knowledge and experience in our corner

With how busy life has been lately, and with very little time at home after racing the Finke Desert Race and getting back to work, we’ve made the hard decision not to rush and will be sitting out Round 3 of the MCRC State Sidecar Championship.

We’d like to wish everyone a safe and successful meeting. We’ll be back later in the season and can’t wait to get back out there. Thanks for all the support!

Absolutely epic weeknd back on the sidecar after a year off doing the huge task of upgrading our motor package.

With an 18 year difference between motors the job was massive and it wouldn't have been possible with the help from some legends like Russell Mitchell, Jero Joyce, Darryl Mcleod & Murray Stonach.

Thankyou to my family and last of all my wife Kathryn supporting me and spending long hours in the shed throughout this build.

Race day saw us ticking all boxes •Finishing all three races ✅
•no dramas or issues ✅
• Having a blast doin skids with Drew Lock✅
• Hunters first race day being successful ✅

We ended up equal 2nd for the day but third due to a count back ,
Awesome days racing couldn't wipe the smile of my face 🙂

As 2025 comes to a close, it’s been a long and testing year as we’ve worked hard behind the scenes preparing for our return to the race track in 2026.

This weekend is Round 2 of the WA State Sidecar Championship being held at Collie Motorplex
After a disastrous 1st round at Carco Raceway with lots of bad luck we will be starting from the back of the grid. We’re fired up an ready to charge up the front.
Our regular passenger Drew Lock has a pre-booked holiday to Japan to hit the slopes so we are fortunate to have the skills of Robert Dillon passengering for us . Big thanks to Jack from Northside Motorcycles Service & Repairs to get our motor sorted & ready for this round in a short amount of time so we could get it back in the bike with plenty of time to spare

Fun Fact - Robert and Sam went to Primary school together an the first road racing sidecar outfit that robert layed eyes 👀 on was Sam’s Fathers (Garry Watson)

Round 1 of the WA state sidecar championships has been run unfortunately it wasn’t our day with a gearbox gremlin in qualifying. The Calmack LCR was unreal in the laps we got to do.

Huge welcome to Drew Lock who has joined Watson Racing as our full time passenger!

Massive Thankyou to Peter Girling for lending us your outfit to salvage a few points towards the championship.
