Hi Wizards Families,
Ready to try a different format of basketball? 🏀 🧙🏻♂️
With no Junior Domestic games scheduled on Saturday 10 October, Northside Wizards has teamed up with MADE Concepts Pty to bring a FIBA 3x3 Basketball Tournament to the Northside Indoor Sports Centre, Zillmere!
Rather than letting a weekend without Domestic Competition go to waste, we saw a great opportunity to give our members the chance to experience a different format of the game — right here at their home venue.
🏀 MAKE YOUR OWN TEAM!
One of the best parts about this event is that you get to put your own team together!
This isn't based on your regular Northside Wizards Domestic Club teams. Players can grab their friends, choose who they want to play with and create their own 3x3 team for the day.
Want to team up with friends who normally play for a different Northside Wizards club? Go for it! 🙌
Brendale Bobcats Basketball Club, Aspley Devils Basketball Club, Chermside Redbacks Basketball Club, Petrie Pythons Basketball Club, Bracken Ridge Panthers Basketball, North Lakes Hawks Basketball Club, Tigers Basketball Club, Everton Timberwolves Basketball Club NGBL Basketball Club - Northside Girls Basketball League — it doesn't matter which club you normally play for. This is an opportunity to mix things up, play alongside different friends and have some fun with basketball in a completely different format.
So start the group chat, get your team together and come up with a team name! 👀
🏀 WHAT IS 3x3?
3x3 is a fast-paced, half-court format of basketball played with three players on the court per team.
With fewer players, a smaller court and a different style of play, there are plenty of touches and opportunities to get involved.
Whether you've played 3x3 before or have never tried it, this is your chance to give it a go!
🧙🏻♂️ WIZARDS MEMBERS GET 50% OFF!
