Mat Pilates: Saturday 8:00am
Low-impact, full-body conditioning that builds core strength, flexibility and control, all from the floor.

Chair Pilates: Saturday 10:30am
A supported, joint-friendly option that still challenges strength and balance, perfect if you're easing back into movement, managing injury, or just prefer to sit rather than get up and down off a mat.

Same principles, same results — just pick whichever feels right for your body today.

New to Pilates? Our 1 day unlimited pass for only $35 gets you into any classes on the timetable that same day.

🌿 This Week on the Mat: Be Gentle With Yourself 🌿
This week's class is a slow flow, restorative practice, a chance to soften, rest, and reset the nervous system. Think tender care, sweet earth, and permission to simply be.

We'll settle into supported shapes with bolsters and blocks, side stretch, wide legged forward folds over the bolster, head turning gently side to side. No striving. Just rest.

We'll also explore the practice of asking for what you want and trusting it's on its way. Journaling, wish lists, visualisations, treasure maps, think of them like placing an order at a restaurant. You tell the waiter what you want, then trust the kitchen is taking care of it. You don't hover at the pass asking "is it ready yet?" You sit back, and you let it come, in the right time, space, and sequence.

A gentle prompt to bring to your mat (or your week): look around your space. What do your eyes land on? Does it reflect what you love?

We'll also sit with anything that isn't serving you, an old pattern, a habit, a story. No need to fix it. Just let the breath sweep the mind, and see it from a new angle. A few minutes of silence to let that settle.

Come as you are. Rest is productive too. 🤍
See you on the mat this week Lotus Yoga Studio.

Can you feel it?

The mornings are lighter, the air's a little softer, and Point Lonsdale is slowly waking up from winter.

If your body's been hibernating too in heavier movement, cosier layers, more couch time thn mat time, that's completely human.

But Spring has a way of asking us to come back to ourselves. To move a little more.
Breathe a little deeper.
Show up for you again.

You don't need to leap in. Just unroll the mat and see how it feels.

New to the studio? Our 30 Days Unlimited offer for $75 is the easiest way back in — any class, any time on the timetable.

🪷 This week's theme: Leaning Into the Unknown

Most of what we resist isn't pain, it's not knowing. Not knowing how the pose will feel today, or how the story unfolds off the mat.

This week we practice a different relationship with uncertainty: not fixing it, not rushing past it, just breathing inside it, the way a seed breathes in the dark soil before it knows it's about to become something else.

We'll wobble in Warrior III and Tree Pose, and meet it with curiosity instead of judgement. We'll move through slow, unscripted transitions and trust the body to find its way. Because the lotus doesn't wait for the water to clear before it grows, it rises through the mud, in its own time, toward the light.

🌱 Mantra for the week: "I don't need to see the whole path to take the next step."

Come as you are, uncertain, unfinished, unfolding. That's exactly the point.

I am unfolding. I am becoming. 🪷

Nothing here is new. And that’s the point.

The basket hanging by the door started life as hard rubbish, someone’s cast-off, sanded back, repainted, given a second purpose. The coconut coir lining it once padded a mattress, unwound and reworked into something a plant could root in and thrive. The seedlings inside were propagated by many hands in a school horticulture program, cuttings taken not to discard the old plant, but to multiply its life.

None of this is about making things look new. It’s about seeing what’s still useful, still beautiful, still worth tending, even after it’s been broken, discarded, or written off.

This is kintsugi thinking. The Japanese practice of repairing broken pottery with gold doesn’t hide the crack, it honours it. The break becomes part of the object’s story, often more beautiful than the original, unbroken form. Nothing is disguised. Everything is included.

We could stand to bring this off the mat.

So much of yoga is quiet permission to stop discarding the parts of ourselves that have cracked under pressure, the tired body, the imperfect practice, the version of us that didn’t hold the pose, didn’t have the answer, didn’t get it right the first time.

Yoga, like kintsugi, like a repainted basket, like coir from an old mattress lining something new and growing, asks something different: what if the crack is where the light gets in? What if repair is not concealment, but celebration?

Change isn’t a flaw to fix. It’s the material we’re working with, same as clay, same as compost, same as a mattress becoming a home for new roots.

Leave this world more beautiful than you found it. Leave yourself more beautiful than you found yourself, too, cracks, gold seams, and all.

🪷 Roll out the mat. Bring your whole, imperfect, ever reused self.
Join us this week for classes exploring exactly this, reuse, repair, and the beauty of what’s been through something.
