Grange Track Squad - Running Coaching

Season 26/27 started today for our primary school aged athletes. They competed in School Sport SA track and field championships. This is a pathway event to state team selection.
We were well represented:

Henry Schwerdt 200m gold, 100m silver, LJ silver, relay bronze
Maddie Reynolds 200m gold
Harrison Stephens 800 gold, 1500 silver (under previous record)
Narla Sarecki 800 gold, 1500 gold, HJ bronze
Isla McIllroy 1500 bronze
Jack Moss 1500 4th
Caitlyn Hansen 1500 9th

Most of these performances were PB’s
The medalists all stand a good chance of being selected in the SA team for School Sport Australia nationals in December.

Saturday for those not in Ballarat
BAKERY ON O'CONNELL

Caitlyn and Narla have had an awesome experience in Ballarat at the Athletics Australia National Cross Country Championships.
They only met two weeks ago and now they are training partners and friends.
Both were in the under 12 3km, Narla come in 40th and Caitlyn 64th in a field of 80.
Lifetime memories made as they represented SA for the first time (I’m confident it won’t be their last ).
Tough conditions but they were both smiling at the end of it.

Good luck to Caitlyn and Narla who are competing in the Australian Athletics Cross Country Championships tomorrow. The girls will be tested by tough competition and even tougher conditions after plenty of rain in Ballarat this week.

Shout out to Henry Schwerdt who is representing SA at the primary school footy national championships this week. SA have had two wins and two losses. Henry getting plenty of the ball in the midfield and has kicked 9 goals.
This is the third sport he has been a state rep in, cross country and track the other two. Handy cricketer too.
