Iona Netball families;
Unfortunately, Iona Netball has not been able to form a committee and will therefore not be a viable club for 2025. Subsequently, we encourage 2024 Iona Netball Club members to seek another club to play for in 2025. Hastings Valley Netball Association are aware of our position and understand that Iona players will be seeking a new club for 2025.

Congratulations, Louise, our very own Wonder Woman! This award is truly well-deserved.
Congratulations to Louise Grigg for IONA SC Club Person of the year.
Since 2020, Louise has been a dedicated coach and Umpiring Coordinator at Iona Netball, mentoring young umpires and fostering a love for the sport. Despite not having daughters in netball, she continues to support and inspire the players. Her family business, Grigg Advisory, also sponsors Iona Netball. Congratulations Louise.
Louise follows in the footsteps of previous Iona Sports Club legends;
2018 - Julie Chambers
2019 - Tony Judge
2020 - Amanda Hammond
2021 - David Beard
2022 - Kristy Kawaguchi
2023 - Sam Oliver

Thank you for your kind supportive words Linda.
Hello!
I'm writing to you as your President of Hastings Valley Netball Association.
I've heard along the grapevine that your awesome little club is searching for some new committee members, so you can continue into 2025.
Please consider a role. It is so rewarding being a part of a special little club, and the wider, supportive netball community.
Iona Netball Club is relatively new to our Association, joining our 5 other clubs in 2018. Starting with 10 junior teams and 2 senior teams, you made an instant impact!
Over the years you have worked hard to introduce boys to your teams, and while the other clubs struggled, Luke joined your Set Rainbows team in 2019.
Club of the Year in 2022. Coach of the Year in 2023. These results don't come easy, it's the result of a collaborative effort from very passionate people who are in it for their kids.
2024 saw 4 teams in the semi finals, with 2 progressing to the finals, and 2 making it through to their Grand Finals. That's 100% success in the finals series.
You've bought an Australian netballer here on a number of occasions.
It would be sad to see your club fold if we can't get the volunteers you need.
Your Association is here to support you. The clubs committees would be only to happy to support you.
If you are interested in a position, please reach out. I can find you a buddy to work with from another club.
I am here to see clubs thrive. I'm here to see the association grow. I need people like you to keep your inaugural committees dream alive, and foster the love of netball within the Iona community.
Please reach out if you have any questions. I'm here to help
Cheers
Linda Dewbery

Our Monday night senior teams had a fantastic season, displaying exceptional skill, determination, and teamwork in every game. With strong performances and impressive victories throughout the competition, the players truly enjoyed coming together each week. A big thank you to Zali, Tania, and Zoe for managing your teams so well each week!

Iona Family,
The netball club held their AGM on Thursday evening at Settlers Inn. It was attended by 6 people.
There are currently positions vacant in the following areas.
President
Secretary
Umpires Convener
Parent Team Manager Coordinator
Net/Set/Go Coordinator
Social Media Coordinator
The club cannot continue into the 2025 season unless key positions are filled and the committee functioning. This would be a horribly sad outcome for a club that has achieved great success in a short period.
There are position descriptions available for committee roles and the outgoing members would be happy to discuss what is involved and will provide handover to anyone who is willing to volunteer.
Please reach out via reply email or feel free to call me to discuss further.
Regards,
Pete Martin
