For 70 years, our Regional Representative Rugby League Program has proudly evolved alongside the communities it represents. Throughout that journey, our teams have competed under several identities, including North Coast Rugby League, North Coast Dolphins, Oxley Pioneers, East Coast Dolphins and most recently the North Coast Bulldogs our previous NRL development provider.

With the appointment of a new NRL Development Partner in the Newcastle Knights, the Mid North Coast Rugby League has been presented with an opportunity to establish a permanent regional identity, one that reflects the character of our region, our coastal environment and the people who proudly represent it.

The Mid North Coast Rugby League Board undertook a comprehensive review of the Region's branding, seeking feedback from the wider Rugby League Community through a Public Survey as well. The response was positive, with the Mid North Coast Dolphins emerging as the clear community choice.
