{ DIV 1 WRAP UP }

The Piranhas had a great weekend away, at the North Coast Division 1 Championships in Grafton.

🏊‍♀️From our 23 swimmers in 150 individual events, we came home with 34 gold medals, 15 silver medals, 11 bronze medals and an outstanding 76 new PBs.

🥇There were individual golds for Tess (2), Flynn (2), Iesha (7), Zara(2), Cooper (2), James (4), Bianca (6), Chloe (4), Daniel (2) and Zoe (3)

🥈Silver medals were won by Iesha (1), Flynn (2), Zara (3), Cooper (4), Scarlett (2), James (1), Bianca (1), Blake (1)

🥉And our bronze medalists were Zara (1), Harry (1), Bianca (1), Chloe (5), Daniel (1) and Kayliana (2).

🏊‍♀️We also fielded 15 relay teams, coming away with 4 relay golds and 1 bronze

🥇Our girls team of Chloe, Bianca, Iesha and Zara took out both the open 4 x 50 freestyle and the open 4 x 50 medley relays

🥇Our boys 14&U 4 x 50 freestyle team of James, Blake, Flynn & Cooper finished in the top spot.

🥇🥉In the girls 14&U 4 x 50 freestyle relay, both our A and B teams finished on the podium with gold to the A girls Bianca, Chloe, Scarlett and Zara and bronze to the B girls Sienna, Rose, Zoe and Madi.

⏱️We also had some very exciting National Qualifying swims from Cooper who obtained his first National QT after a killer swim in the 200 fly. And Zara.C who also smashed the 200 fly National QT to secure her spot on the National team for the 2nd year. Big congrats to these two.

⏱️We also had new State Qualifying times for Daniel (Youth State- 100 back) and Bianca (Senior State- 400 free and 100 fly)

🏆Flynn won the Tim Mullins 'Reach for the Stars' memorial shield for fastest 13 yr boys 100 freestyle- well done Flynn.

🏆And finally congratulations to our Age Champions Iesha (17& Over) and Bianca (14 yrs)

Well done to all of our swimmers. Fantastic results from everyone. Thankyou also to our support crew of mums, dads, grandparents; our officials Jason, Amanda, Mitch and Tanya; our fabulous Coach Dale; and to Swimming North Coast, Grafton Swimming Club and all the many volunteers for putting on this great event for our swimmers.

We have 24 Piranhas heading up to Grafton this weekend for the North Coast Division 1 Championships. These guys & girls have been working so hard in training over the last few months, and we are super proud of them. Best of luck to all 24; swim hard and have a great weekend away. GO PIRANHAS!

This is Flynn.
Flynn competed at Div 2 in Port Macquarie on Sunday, and had a great day, finishing with 6 new PBs & 8 gold medals. He then travelled down to Newcastle to compete in the NUSwim Qualifying Meet on Sunday, a trip which resulted in another 3 new PBs, a bronze medal, and his first NSW Senior State qualifying time (100 fly). A big weekend; well worth the effort! Congratulations & well done Flynn 👏

And another honorable mention to all the amazing volunteers that worked in so many roles throughout the day. 42 awesome parents/ grandparents from our club, and many others from other clubs throughout the Swimming North Coast area. Thankyou all. Meets can't run without you and you are appreciated!

Next stop Division 1 Championships in Grafton in 2 weeks time. The Piranhas will see you there!!
