Today, through my work at Liberty, I had the privilege of standing alongside our incredible team to honour the women whose lives were taken through domestic and family violence over the past year. 💔
It was quiet, moving, and deeply felt.
Each woman’s name spoken aloud.
Each life remembered with a rose, compassion and care.
As someone who supports women in recovery and healing from DFV, I hold close the stories, strength, grief, and courage of so many women. Today is a reminder of why this work matters so deeply.
Holding space for remembrance, compassion, and hope for change 💜

A gentle note for your week 🪷
There’s something I’ve been reflecting on lately… how important it is to have small moments in our week where we can simply pause.
To breathe.
To soften.
To come back to ourselves.
I’ve been continuing to hold space in different ways recently — nature walks, workshops, in person classes and within the Moving with Grief community — and I’m always reminded how powerful it is to be in spaces where nothing needs to be fixed… where we’re simply allowed to be just as we are. 🌈

I’m also slowly creating some gentle, pre-recorded classes for those who prefer to practise at home or aren’t local.

Michelle is one of our many volunteers who give their time and skills to contribute to a community that offers support at times of grief. Grief because we lost someone or something we love, grief about the state of the world, grief about the inevitable changes that shape our lives. Turning 49… and reflecting on what really matters 🪷
I spent the weekend in one of my favourite places, Scotts Head, celebrating my birthday with family… and taking a little time to pause and reflect on the year that’s been.
The challenges, the growth, the healing… and all that life has asked of me.
What I came back to, in the end, was a deep sense of gratitude.
For the people who have truly been there for me.For the friendships that have held and supported me.And for this practice of yoga… something that has been like coming home to me for over 30 years.
Yoga continues to support me through life — not by removing the hard parts, but by helping me meet them with a little more presence, compassion, and ease.
And this is why I teach.
