So sorry for my long absence from this page… but have no fear, I’m always here to provide ashtanga classes and advice.
Please ignore the previously posted schedules, numbers weren’t high enough to continue regularly scheduled classes. Instead I teach small group and private classes at your convenience. Classes are $20 for 60-90 minutes which can be followed by a free 20 minute pranayama session at the end.
Although I was authorized to teach ashtanga by the late Guruji Sharath Jois, I’m a great believer in non-traditional techniques to alter the practice in accordance to individual needs, so you will not find me on the official lists of authorized teachers (actually, I never applied to be put on them). However I am one of the less than fifty teachers in Australia that were given permission directly from him to teach 🙏
Anyways, despite my dislike of advertising and self promotion, I’m currently working on a webpage that should be ready in the next couple of days ❤️ I’ll post the link here when it’s done.
In the words of my teacher, “Be Peace 🙏”

The new book arrived… before the guru died he released a vastly simplified form of ashtanga aimed at those who find the regular practice too much.
A lot of people seem to have an unwarranted fear of ashtanga. A regular practice makes your body light, strong and healthy for life
It’s a little sad that most non-ashtanga yogis have a prelearned list of attacks, but I’ve yet to hear a single argument against the art of ashtanga that i respect. Generally I see it as trying to put yourself up by putting another down. Dissing something with power doesn’t make you powerful 😢
Anyway… time to study

An excellent reason to try the 16:30 class… students can choose indoor lighting on or off. Personally I like the natural light 🥰

Just finished cleaning up for tomorrows opening. Enough space for eight students comfortably, ten slightly less comfortably and twelve mysore style. 😅
I’ve included a photos of my parents lovely home on 28 Hibiscus Cres and the unecessary waiting section 🙏
I have a few spare mats, no rental fee required.
Hello everyone and welcome!
At the moment I’m very keen to get an understanding of the Port Macquarie ashtanga community in order to best service their needs.
So firstly, may I offer deep respect to Denis and Mandy. I haven’t reached out to them as yet, but I thank them for having established an ashtanga community in Port Macquarie. (Hope the name of this page isn’t too presumptuous)
My current idea is to give gentle led classes from 9am mondays, wednesdays and fridays, with an even slower led with explanations on saturdays.
However, a question to the experienced ashtangis. Would people be interested in a traditional early morning class? Even two people would be enough.
Love to you all,
Andrew
