Australian Kart Championship 2023
Well that's a wrap, what a year it has been. Lots of learning and a whole lot of fun( sometimes). Next year we will be back bigger and better. And well be bring home some silver ware.

Last weekend saw us have good pace and a well tuned up Kart. But it wasn't to be, after qualifying 26th then being split into 4 group I was coming out of 14th for my heats

H1- P23
H2 -P10( Received a DQ for not having my SD card in my Go pro massive lesson learnt will me never make that mistake again.
H3 -P16

UNFORTUNATELY I didn't make the final as my point were to high.

Big congratulations to everyone who made the podium and who took home awards last night. Very well deserved

After qualifying 31 out 62,Carter pulled really hard in each heat

H1 16th dropped to 20th
H2 16th to 10th
H3 16 th DNF was under lights after a red flag and a restart made up some positions to get involved in an incident on the first corner, and get smashed by 3 karts.
H4 20th to 12th
Final 32nd to 20th. Was super happy to just make the final with alot of kids getting sent home.

We knew this was going to be our hardest round so our goal was top 20 and he did that.

Round 3

Round 3 was definitely, a roller-coaster after a great qualifying, on Friday afternoon.

Saturday we had 3 heats,where Carter was starting off the front row, gettingripping starts and taking the lead from the first corner, the wheels fell off very quickly seeing him shuffle back in the pack, he tried and absolutely best in the Heat of battle but a few mistakes and over driving got the best of him.

Sunday wasn't much better now starting mid pack i finish the pre final in P12

In the final I was coming out of P15 and didn't even get a lap in were I was involved in a racingindicent, which seen me out of the race.

I'm just glad carter got to make it to the final as I know alot of kids that didn't ,it's tough competition and very cut throat. Now on to the next Ipswich where is going to be very tough. Day 3 in Perth for the Australian Kart Championship

Heat 1 P2 to P6
Heat 2 P1 to 11th( was going for a move and got hit from behind dropping to 13th and making my way back up )Tomorrow is a massive day with 2 more heats and a final.

This weekend has been wicked I'm learning every race to better my race craft and racing up the front with the best in the country is just awesome. Carter is going to be pushing hard tomorrow.

After a really average practise all day today, I managed to finish with a bang putting it on the front row came in P2 in qualifying out of about 50 Kart, a massive day tomorrow.

Done and dusted

Was a challenging weekend only getting 1 lap in for qualifying starting the heat at the back of 24 karts

Made my way through the pack in all 3 heats but drop downs being a killer for me all weekend

Started the final out of 11 th got caught up in an incident off the start dropped to 13 th, drove the absolute wheel off the kart, just picking them off one by one , finishing in 2nd but yet again drop down killed us so finished in 4th. Couldn't be more proud of Carter starting dead last yesterday to finish so strong today was an unbelievable effort,
