First time since February with new slicks on the kart and new tyres make a massive difference. Super happy with finally getting into the 40s lap times and keeping consistent with times!! Thank you dad for taking me and everyone at Go Kart Club of Victoria for working hard to put the meeting on.
This might be one of my last race days so very happy to finish on the podium!

3rd in the KA3 Junior Heavy GKCV club championship!! We weren’t expecting that at the start of the year!!

Second podium of the year! (first ‘real’ one as there were 7 entries)

Firstly, thanks Dad for everything you’ve done for me, my family and friends for coming to watch me, Bens Gallery for the awesome photos and everyone who’s helped us and given us advice throughout the year ❤️🫶❤️

Qualifying: First time on wets, was actually pretty fun!! Qualified P7/7

Heat 1: Another wet race, spark plug fouled at the start, DNF

Heat 2: Engine troubles again, DNF

Heat 3: Put slick tyres for the first dry session of the day, had an ok start and avoided an accident to finish P5.

Final: Overtook the person starting P4 at the start and got past the person in P3 on the first lap as well. Was somehow able to build a gap to the people behind and kept P3 for the whole race!!

Super excited for next year in KA3 Senior 😁😁😁

P3!! New race-day PB 42.6 3 tenths quicker than last time. Thanks dad for taking me, Go Kart Club of Victoria and their volunteers, and everyone that was racing in my class for the awesome day!! 😁😁

It’s been a year since I first went on track!! I just wanted to make a quick post and say thank you to everyone who got me this far!

Had a great time at the the July GKCV Club Day!! 16 people on the track which was the most I’ve ever been on the track with at once but all went pretty good! Also saved up and got a GoPro so I’ve got some videos!!

Qualifying was good, just tried to get a good lap in, P13.

Heat 1 was also good, avoided an incident in turn one (first video) so finished P11.

Heat 2 went ok, didn’t get the best start but did keep up with the field and finished P13 (second video).

Heat 3 got hit from behind into turn 2 so finished last (third video) 🤷‍♀️

Final spun at the top of the hill at the start (fourth video)🤦‍♀️. BUT! I caught back up and overtook someone on the last lap for P14 (last video)!! First overtake in a race, was super happy with that!!

Well done and good luck to everyone for the City of Melbourne titles, won’t be racing but will be going down and watching on the Saturday!

Haven’t posted anything in a while so I figured I’d quickly write about what we’ve been doing!!

We went to the May club day at GKCV which went ok… it was raining for a while and I hadn’t gone out on a wet track yet so we decided to skip the qualifying and first two heats. It was really interesting to watch everyones lines on the track when it was wet. Heat 3 and the final went ok but nothing too special.

Then next month we went to the June club at GKCV! Qualified P7 out of 8 and also finished P7 for Heat 1 and 2. Was able to keep up with the field a bit better for the third heat and finished P6. The final was pretty good too! I did my best race lap (43.4) and kept up with the rest of the field even better this time! Finished P7 but was pretty happy about not falling too far behind. 😁

Have also been doing lots of practicing!! A little bit in the wet (which I don’t think dad liked too much) and also had a lesson with Pro Karting and got a new PB 43.1! I’ve got a little more confidence compared to the previous club-days for the July club-day which is this weekend!

Also thank you to Napa for the Academy spot!! The videos have been helping a lot with my driving and off-track activities.

Went pretty good in the sessions that I didn’t DNF in, was just trying to stay on the track and that’s how I got 3rd in the second heat. In the third heat we were starting P4, had an ok start for never being that far up but sadly I crashed out and bent the steering so couldn’t compete for the rest of the day. But it’s all good now (thanks dad)! Ready to go again!

Better race day this time! Almost got an overtake but I was focusing more on finishing the day then that. Had two little bumps but definitely better than last time!
