Ryan Reid Racing Team

This season Ryan made the call to step up into the senior ranks of karting . The first 2 rounds of this year in the IPSWICH KART CLUB championship were a learning curve in driving against some of the best karters in the country but despite being the youngest driver in the KA3 senior category Ryan put his head down and raced the wheels off his kart in a nail biting finish in the final to clinch the win 🏆

It was a wet one in Melbourne today !! Todd Road is a brand new track for Ryan and with only 2 x 6min practice sessions he was straight into qualifying coming in 10th overall . With the classes being split Ryan found himself in 5th . Ryan had a great start going from 5th to 1st before the first corner ! weather dried out for the feature but having no practice on slicks Ryan finished in 9th spot . Overall a good result on a new track and some experience gained ! Racing starts again Sunday morning so it'll be full send once again !

One final trip for the year !!! Flying into Melbourne yesterday for the 2nd event of Karting Australia Summer Series !!! Practice, Qualies and racing happening today and tomorrow!!!

🟢🟢 It's Race Week !!!!!🟢🟢
Last round of the year at IPSWICH KART CLUB for the Capri Cup ! Ryan has a teeny tiny chance of sneaking into 3rd place on the podium in the championship if he places well this weekend so the final race will be hella exciting way to finish the year ! Practice starts tomorrow with a full day of racing on Saturday!!!

After a promising performance in the heat races by coming 1st in heat 1,2 and 3 Ryan had some confidence going into the final however things just didn't go to plan on track. Ryan crossed the line in 2nd but after a penalty was pushed back in the final placings . Every race is a learning curve and Ryan continues to learn and grow as a driver each time he goes out slowly edging closer to that top step of the podium. We'd like to congratulate the team at Jye Flynn Racing for the win and as always thank our Empire Kartsport team for all your help and support over the weekend !!

RD 7 of IPSWICH KART CLUB kicks off with practice today and then full day of racing tomorrow!! It's also the club's KA100 titles round giving the drivers a little more motivation to take the top step of the podium !!!

🟢3RD PLACE PODIUM NSW STATE TITLES🟢
After blitzing the quallys and heat 1 and 2 Ryan went out for heat 3 in a downpour which resulted in an track incident that saw him DNQ and gave us a 7th place starting position for the final . He had work to do but moved his way through the pack to 3rd spot where some pretty impressive defensive driving came in to hold off the karts behind to claim a podium spot !!

After putting it on pole in qualifying Ryan battled the tough wet conditions to bring it home in 1st in both heat races this afternoon!!!
Shoutout to Dave Reid for a top job as mechanic and Empire Kartsport for all your support .

With a flying last lap of the session Ryan narrowly took P1 in quallys in the KA3 junior light category!!!
