Are you fit, healthy, and consistently training for the event?

If the honest answer is no, now is the time to get cracking and put the work in.

The P2P is a competitive race for those targeting a top-20 finish, and a challenging 4km open-water swim for everyone else. Either way, it demands proper preparation and training.

At PSLSC, our number-one priority is the health and wellbeing of every participant and volunteer.

If you’re not confident you’ll be fit and ready to comfortably complete the 4km swim by the end of January, please take the time to carefully consider whether this year’s event is right for you.

Your safety — and the safety of those around you — always comes first.

We are pleased to confirm that the 38th Pier to Perignon Swim will be held on Sunday 22 February 2026 on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula.

The Pier to Perignon is one of Victoria’s most celebrated open water swims, starting at Sorrento Front Beach and finishing at Portsea Front Beach. We look forward to welcoming competitors, supporters and volunteers once again!

Start Location: Sorrento Front Beach, between the boat ramp and pier
Finish: Portsea Front Beach

Important Change to Entries:
From this season there will no longer be a Priority Entry Period for 5-year-plus swimmers.

All swimmers will enter during the same general registration period, on a first come, first served basis.

Entries Open:
Tuesday 2 December 2025, 9.00 am (AEDT)

Please mark this date and time in your calendar to give yourself the best chance of securing a place on the start line.

This summer marks the TLC Healthcare 40th Portsea Swim Classic — our iconic sister swim to the Pier to Perignon — taking place Saturday, 17 January 2026.

There are still a few spots left in the 2.5km Portsea Gold event.

The 38th Portsea to Portsea Swim will now take place on Sunday, 22 February 2026.

We look forward to welcoming swimmers back to the beautiful Mornington Peninsula for another fantastic day in the bay!

Pier To Perignon The Pier to Pérignon started in 1989 when the two Humble Founders swam from Sorrento to Portsea, with the wager being a bottle of Dom Pérignon for the winner.

🎉 Celebrate after your swim at the Portsea Surf Club!
Wear your P2P T-shirt and enjoy $5 beer, wine, and champagne, plus free soft drinks from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

🍽️ The kitchen will be open, serving delicious food to help you recharge and celebrate your swim. Remember: you must wear your P2P shirt to redeem the drink offer.

🚗 Parking and Shuttle Bus Info:
To avoid parking fines, please:

Park at the Portsea Back Beach car park and catch the shuttle bus to the registration/start area.
Or arrange a drop-off near the start area and walk down to Sorrento Pier.
🚌 This year, we’ve added more shuttle buses! Four buses will run continuously between:

Portsea Back Beach car park (starting at 8:15 AM, next to the public toilets) near the ramp

Sorrento Pier (start area)
Portsea Camp Oval (finish area)

For those of you who enjoy a little running or walking with your swimming, entries are now open for the 2025 Portsea Bay to Surf. The event showcases the best of Point Nepean National Park, starting alongside Port Phillip Bay then through the roller coaster dune track and finishing with the roaring Bass Strait surf. This is truly a unique experience.

With Summer just around the corner it is time to start thinking about the 2025 Pier to Perignon. Registrations will open on Monday 2nd December for 5 Year + Swimmers. General Entries will open Tuesday 3rd December at 10am. Get it in your diary and start training now!
