Congratulations to all of the coaches and managers who have been appointed to our Junior Representative teams for the 2026/27 season!
Thank you for putting your hand up and committing so much of your time, energy, and passion to coaching, mentoring, and developing our young cricketers. Your dedication plays a vital role in creating a fun, positive, and supportive environment where our players can learn, grow, and thrive both on and off the field.
At Mackay Whitsunday Cricket Inc., we are committed to building a strong future for cricket in our region, and our coaches and managers are at the heart of that journey.
Together, you are helping bring our vision to life:

🏏💜What an incredible few weeks it has been at our All Girls Cricket Blast Program at Proserpine State School! 💗🏏
With around 20 girls signed up, the energy each week has been absolutely amazing. Every session has been full of laughter, music, dancing, cartwheels, friendship, and of course plenty of cricket skills!
The girls have been learning new skills each week before finishing every session with a cricket game, and Coach Danni has been completely blown away by the enthusiasm and confidence already shining through.
One of the best parts? Hearing that so many girls have been going home and practising their bowling… Coach Danni can definitely tell! 👏
It’s been so special watching the girls encourage each other, have fun, and fall in love with the game in such a supportive environment. The future of girls cricket in Proserpine is looking very bright 💕

🏏 National Volunteer Week 🏏
A little reminder this week that junior cricket clubs don’t run themselves.
Every single season there are people behind the scenes giving up their time to make sure kids get to play cricket. Coaches, managers, committee members, scorers, canteen volunteers, parent helpers, BBQ cooks, grounds people, uniform organisers, raffle ticket sellers, the “I’ll just quickly help with that” people… all of it matters.
It’s the mums and dads setting up fields before games. The people staying back to pack up. The volunteers answering messages at night. The ones filling in when someone can’t make it. The people helping in the canteen when it’s flat out and eleventy-hundred kids suddenly want Zooper Doopers all at once. 😅
A lot of the work that keeps clubs running isn’t glamorous, and most of it happens quietly in the background. But without volunteers, community sport simply wouldn’t exist.
So to all of our Pittie volunteers, thank you. Our club, our kids and our cricket community are better because of you. 💙🏏
