Breaking in ballerina shoes is one of the most painful parts of ballet training. 🩰 New pointe shoes are extremely stiff, designed to support a dancer’s full body weight on the tips of their toes. Dancers have to soften them by bending the sole, working the box, and wearing them during practice so the shoe molds to their foot.
