Last night, Tennis NSW hosted the 2026 Tennis NSW Awards, bringing together members, players, coaches, clubs, officials, volunteers and stakeholders from across the state to celebrate the people and achievements that make our tennis community so special. The event was hosted by Casey Dellacqua and John Fitzgerald, and recognised those who have gone above and beyond throughout the past year and made an outstanding contribution to tennis across NSW!

CBTA was proud to be a finalist in the Most Outstanding Club/Venue - Metro and celebrate this with a group of our valued volunteers. A big congratulations to Mosman Lawn Tennis Club who took out the win.

A special mention also to one of our competition players Isabelle Chan who was a finalist in the Most Outstanding Young Athlete with a Disability category.

🏆Our very own, former President and Life Member, Roger Pitt was honoured in receiving the Jim O'Neill Award for Service to Tennis. We are all very proud of Roger and his committment to tennis and CBTA as well as all his achievements in that time. Congratulations!

Today CBTA hosted a joint partnership program with Active Canterbury-Bankstown, our operators and coaches at KTP Sports and Little Kickers St George, Revesby and Chester Hill to provide a Multisport School Holiday Event! We hope all had a fantastic day trying out tennis, pickleball and futsal and visiting and enjoying our fantastic Panania Tennis Centre! Big thankyou to the efforts of our partners to put on this event free to the community. Canterbury Bankstown Tennis Association is proud to announce that we have been named a finalist in the TennisNSW Awards 2026 for Most Outstanding Tennis Club - Metro!

This is a very proud achievement for our volunteer-led organisation as we continue to improve our organisation, centres, programs and offerings for tennis in Canterbury Bankstown!

Canterbury Bankstown Tennis Association would like to congratulate our very own, former President, Roger Pitt for his 22 years of service to the association! Roger is an Award Finalist for this achievement for the TNSW Jim O'Neill Service to Tennis Award.

Roger over many years has been apart of our volunteer committee as both Grants and Sponsorships Officer, Vice President and President between 2005-2026 contributing a huge 16 500 estimated volunteer hours to CBTA! Roger in his time with CBTA has assisted to secure funding and sponsorships for upgrades and tennis initiatives, facilitating our path through COVID, chairing the CBTA 100 year anniversary celebrations and competing as a player himself including numerous state titles, international representation and representing CBTA in Hardcourt Interdistrict Competition.

Thankyou Roger for all you have done for tennis and CBTA and we wish you the best at the upcoming Award Event!
