Several club days scheduled to go ahead this weekend in regional Victoria after the easing of regional restrictions by Premier Daniel Andrews and the Victorian government.

If you are able to go racing this weekend head to one of these clubs to support their Club Day.

Please be aware of the latest COVID related restrictions listed this week from Karting Victoria and Karting Australia, also no spectators are currently allowed.

Karting Victoria – Urgent Advice to all Clubs
Date: 5 August 2021 Statewide Lockdown
The Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews announced a snap seven-day lockdown at 4:15 today. This lockdown commences at 8pm today and is proposed to end at 11:59pm on 12 August 2021. This lockdown #6 imposes stronger restrictions than those already in place under Restricted Activity Directions (Victoria) (No 21).

As a result of these more stringent restrictions, no karting activities are permitted to take place during this lockdown. This includes Social Karting and Club Day Competition.

The recent lockdown #5 was extended likewise and there is no guarantee that this seven-day lockdown #6 will necessarily end at the proposed time of 11:59 12 August 2021. This situation is very fluid, and we will monitor all information as it becomes available and will provide further advice based on that information.

This is very disappointing, but obviously beyond the control of any of us.

What a race last night! Who would have expected Esteban Ocon to come out on top when all the focus was on the duel between Hamilton and Verstappen? Certainly not me, but a well-deserved result from the young Frenchman.

Media release from Karting Victoria tonight reveals the difference that today's announced restriction changes will have on karting. Though the end of lockdown is welcome news, it appears that karting in Victoria won't resume until the end of August.
In the meantime, we can turn to all the other motorsport categories running around the world, from Formula One to Supercars to the World Rally Championship, to keep entertained.

July 27th changes for Karting in Victoria and South Australia

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews today announced the end of lockdown from 11:59 tonight, with new rules regarding community sport coming into effect.
This means that we should be able to return to kart tracks around Victoria in the near future!
All community sport returns, for all ages, but no spectators are allowed. This includes both training and competition. Further, masks are still required indoors and outdoors. Mr Andrews added that he would be reviewing these new restrictions in two weeks time.
