The beautiful, talented Khmer-Australian artist, all-round legend and my friend .lee gifted me updated fancy photos! I can’t tell you how humbled and grateful I was to receive the images and see what she captured. These are just a few little sneak-peaks before I figure out what’s going on my website.

Even if you don’t have a professional reason, treat yourself to a photography session once in awhile. Let your guard down, have fun and enjoy the experience. You might see a side of yourself you didn’t know existed.

BTW- follow .lee if you like powerful images, extraordinary contemporary paintings, unique Cambodian perspectives, and raw personal narratives.

What comes out of your mouth when hurt feelings speak for you?

Are those words or actions ok by you?

If so, hell yeah!

If not, but what you’re working on is being kinder to yourself, then put this one aside and let it go.

But if not, and you’re regularly saying or doing things that you know are not ok when hurt feelings take the drivers seat, can you position yourself in relation to hurt feelings?

You are not the problem- it’s what happens to you when hurt feelings overwhelm. That doesn’t mean it’s not your responsibility, but start from that place.

I’m not doing this on purpose, hurt feelings are getting the better of me. And my position on that is I’m NOT OK WITH IT. I’m not ok with hurt feelings making decisions for me and speaking for me.

That’s a really important part of any change process. Taking a deeply-felt position. Not a combative one (don’t fight with yourself).

But a genuine ‘done with this ruling my life’ position. And if you find resistance to that, maybe that’s your pay-off for staying stuck (see previous video) and why it feel’s impossible to change.

So, what else can you do with the hurt feelings? That’s way too much for just this one video. But maybe you can think about it on your own and come up with some ways to care for the hurts without buying into the behaviours it wants you to do.
