Eat on repeat … with a tweak here and there.
My breakfast is always one of two basics:
- Overnight oats with yoghurt and seeds
- An English muffin with cottage cheese and either eggs, chicken or salmon
Sometimes I add some veggies on the muffin or some fruit to the oats, but otherwise it’s the same. It might sound boring to some, but keeping breakfast simple means one less decision to make in the morning.
I know I’m getting a mix of carbs, fats and protein, I have a rough idea of the energy I’m consuming, and I know it’s going to keep me satisfied and fuel my morning.
And then I can save my decision-making energy for something more important! 😂
Eating some meals on repeat is a powerful and effective way to keep your health and fitness in check. Find a few meals you enjoy, that fit your goals, and eat on repeat with a tweak here and there.
Simple. Consistent. Done.

At 51, there are so many things I wish I could go back and tell my younger self.
Not to worry so much.
Not to obsess over food.
Not to spend so much time worrying about how my body looks.
And not to wait for the “perfect” body or the “right” time to enjoy life.
Getting older has taught me that being strong, healthy and capable is worth so much more than being smaller.
What would you add to the list?
Strengthen your shoulders with this simple windmill progression…
Start with no weight - arm straight up, tilt through the torso and look up to your hand.
Then add a ball or light object to challenge your shoulder stability and control.
Finally, progress to a dumbbell and gradually build strength with load.
It’s not about rushing to the heaviest weight. It’s about control, stability and progressing when you’re ready. 💪
Save this exercise and give it a try!

I thought knitting would be something I’d start a little later in life… but then I figured why not start now?
So I’m one week into my new hobby (knitting) and I’m seeing the similarities with exercise everywhere. 🧶💪😂
Both require patience.
Both require practice.
Both are slightly addictive.
And both are surprisingly good at calming a busy brain.
I never imagined my 50s would involve learning chin-ups AND knitting… but here we are. 😂
Turns out, getting stronger and slowing down can both be good for you. ❤️
