Maverick Monday: Introducing the fabulous Isabelle aka the educator.
Nickname: My kids call me Mum, my students call me ‘Miss’, otherwise, I am Isabelle but I will also answer to ‘Master’ or ‘God’ 😉.
Fun Fact: I have worked with Tom Cruise.
What attracted me to Mavs: At first it was the thought of learning something new and participating in regular exercise whilst being on the water. Now that I have gotten to know the Mavs, I really enjoy being part of this team.
My superpower would be: Being able to fly.
My actual superpower is: I can fall asleep in under a minute, every night!

Once you're a Mav, you always come back... for a paddle. Our mate, Greggo, a paddler and beer connoisseur, visited us while in Sydney and of course, we made it to not one pub but two.

Maverick Monday: Get to know our shy guy Jayvee who hails from the Philippines!
Nickname: Jayvee
Fun fact: When watching a series, I usually stop mid-episode to avoid those cliffhanger scenes. It also applies to reading books, manga, etc.
What attracted you to dragon boat and the Mavs: I wanted to try a new sport and join a new group. I'm proud to call the Mavs, my team!
When you're not paddling you are: Playing other sports (such as badminton, lawn tennis, table tennis, etc), going to the gym, or brushing up my photography skills.
If you had a superpower, it would be: Teleportation. It will help me save time and money when traveling. And if ever someone discovers my superpower, I can easily run to avoid being experimented on. 😂

The weather gods were kind to us this morning. A few sets of hit-and-glides + broken 500m races over and over and over again. We also welcomed our newest member Jayvee to the team who is clearly a ladies man. Look out for our Maverick Monday post to learn more about Jayvee.
