🔴⚪🔵 MEET OUR COACH — RAY “RAYZA” BUTLER 🔵⚪🔴
Queenscliff Bowling Club is proud to introduce Ray Butler as our Club Coach for the upcoming season.
At just 28 years of age, Ray already brings an incredible 16 years of bowls experience and a list of achievements that speaks for itself — State Triples Gold, multiple GBR titles, Premier Division success, eight Region Side appearances and plenty of silverware at club level.
But Ray’s story is about much more than trophies.
Born and bred in the Borough, Ray has been around Queenscliff Bowling Club since he was a youngster. He’s grown up in the game, learning from and being moulded by some of the very best players the Geelong Bowls Region has produced.
Now it’s his turn to lead.
Ray brings a young, fresh mindset backed by years of high-level experience, and his vision for the Coutas is simple: success on the green, enjoyment off it, and a club where everyone feels like family.
As a young family man himself, Ray wants Queenscliff to continue being a place where players, partners, kids and supporters all feel at home — while creating an environment that helps every bowler get the best out of themselves.
There’s plenty of ambition too. Ray knows what success looks like, and he’ll be giving everything he has to help the red, white and blue bring home a pennant or two in 2026/27.
The club has put its trust in one of its own.
Local boy. Couta through and through. Now our coach.
We’re excited to see where Rayza can take us.
