Toogee Martial Arts - Tamworth

Per my recent post regarding the book "Spotting Danger Before It Spots You" all I can say is "WoW" what a highly educational book! I have nearly finished it and I thoroughly recommend any student to purchase a copy to increase their knowledge further in "Situational Awareness & Threat Assessment". As they say "Prevention is Better than Cure"! Soon I will start on Author Rory Millers books. I am familiar with Cory's work so I am loking forward to reading and implementing all that he shares. I am dying to get stuck into his book called "Conflict Communication - a new paradigm in conscious communication"! I am hoping to eventually hand out printouts in class of the things I have learnt from Cory's books.

Another course down and more knowledge in! Combatives Fast Course by the Self Defense Company was simply great. What a fantastic course. One of the many things I like about Martial Arts is that you never stop learning. "Knowledge is Power" they say and it's simply great for my own enjoyment and also importantly to pass it on to my students. Learning works!!!!

I was sent the Self Defense Company's website from a dear Martial Art friend of mine. The discount on some courses offered was too good to refuse. In always wanting to learn and grow as a Martial Artist and Instructor so I gave it a go. What a great little course! Very informative actually and I enjoyed it. I'll see what the next short course I purchased is like (Combatives a Fast Course).

2nd Post: Here are a collection of videos of Master Oono and his students at Master Oono's Byakuren Kaikan Fukuoka Dojo. I was very fortunate to be able to sit and watch the children's and adults class. The videos are short and don't demonstrate the fullness of all the training and teaching that I saw. It was wonderful to watch a class with such professionalism, dedication and respect. Please take note that at the end of the adults class all the students without asking cleaned the training hall (Dojo) with a sense of fun and joy. The quality of Master Oono's students technique and fighting spirit was very impressive both throughout the children's and adults class. I regret that I didn't take longer videos to show you more. I wish to thank Master Oono and his students for all the courtesy, care and respect I was given the moment I entered the dojo until the end. 1st Post: Here in Fukuoka Japan (18/04/2023) I was very fortunate to visit Master Oono's Byakuren Kaikan Fukuoka Dojo and watch the children's and adults classes. 'WoW' what can I say but such a true and professional Japanese martial art school. Right from standing at the entrance to the end of both classes I was given nothing but courtesy, care, politeness and respect from Master Oono and his students. The quality of the teaching and students was exceptional. The colour belts of all ages technical ability was just wonderful and worthy of great merit. They all put there time in well, applied themselves, trained well and we're worn out in the end of class. The students simply showed so much care and respect for Master Oono. Master Oono is a powerful technician, precise, definitely great in skill and tough in a gentle humble way. It was very inspiring and educational to watch. Thoroughly enjoyable! The children trained from 6 to 7.30pm and the adults from 8 to 9.45pm. All of the adult students straight after class began brooming, vacuuming and cleaning the dojo along with emptying bins. There were no complaints just happiness, willingness and enjoyment. Before the adult class I was introduced to the front of the class and at the end ushered for group photos. At the end of the class I was pumped and felt like training. Even though I was used to much of what the class did from my previous experience with Karate I still learnt things from Master Oono. Next time I visit Japan I hope to join the class in some way as it was true martial training. I thank Master Oono for allowing me to video and photograph the class. ここ福岡で (2023/04/18) 大野師範の白蓮会館福岡道場を訪れ、子供と大人のクラスを観戦することができてとても幸運でした。 「うわー」何と言えばいいのでしょうが、真のプロフェッショナルな日本の武道学校です。 両方のクラスの入り口に立ってからすぐに、私は大野先生と彼の生徒たちから礼儀、気遣い、礼儀正しさ、そして敬意だけを与えられました. 教育と学生の質は並外れたものでした。 老若男女のカラーベルトの技術力は素晴らしく、大きな功績に値するものばかりでした。 彼らは皆、時間をうまく使い、自分自身を適用し、よく訓練し、クラスの終わりには疲れ果てていました. 生徒たちは、大野先生にとても気を配り、敬意を払っていました。 マスター大野は強力な技術者であり、正確で、間違いなく優れたスキルであり、穏やかで謙虚な方法でタフです. 見ていてとても刺激的で勉強になりました。 とことん楽しめる！ 子供たちは午後 6 時から 7 時 30 分まで、大人は午後 8 時から 9 時 45 分までトレーニングを行いました。 授業が終わるとすぐに、大人の生徒全員が道場を掃除し、掃除機をかけ、ビンを空にするとともに掃除を始めました。 幸せ、意欲、楽しさだけで不満はありませんでした。 大人のクラスの前に、私はクラスの前に紹介され、最後に集合写真を案内されました. クラスの終わりには、私は盛り上がり、トレーニングのように感じました. 私は以前の空手の経験からクラスが行うことの多くに慣れていましたが、マスター大野からはまだ多くのことを学びました. 次回日本を訪れるときは、真の格闘技のトレーニングだったので、何らかの形でクラスに参加したいと思っています. クラスのビデオと写真撮影を許可してくれた大野先生に感謝します。 佐賀市で大野師範に会って修行したい人は、私に連絡してください。 マスター大野は、週に 5 泊フルタイムで教えています。 写真とビデオをお楽しみください。 どーもありがとうござますマスター大野！
