Kevin and his awesome team from LAPS RC recently held a Bake Sale and raised over $750.

We're so happy and grateful to announce that our local charity, Youth Solutions, was the lucky beneficiary. 🎉

These funds will help our youth live healthy, safe, and well-connected lives.

On behalf of the fundraising committee, we can't thank you enough.

We need more Kevins. 😂🙏🏼✨

🚨ANNOUNCEMENT TIME🚨
I have definitely not have been as present as I’d like to be in terms of LAPS Run Club over the past few weeks and months but it doesn’t mean I haven’t been working 👀

Since the unfortunate cancelling of our original Bake Sale earlier this year I’ve been working towards a bigger goal that will help the growth of this run club moving forward.

I’m excited to announce that Laps Run Club is now a registered not for profit sporting group.

You might ask why have we done this and to be completely honest it began so small with myself trying to get a key to the public toilet at Raby for Sunday mornings (this we will have soon now)
but has since grown putting us in a great position to continue to offer a safe space in the community for like minded individuals to get together and promote walking,jogging, running.

I definitely could not have done this on my own and I would love to give a special shout out to Shai 🌼 one of our members who has been with me every moment helping us throughout the process.

Also special shout out to Campbelltown councillor Cr Isabella Wisniewska who was first on the scene to offer us her help and guidance when we were down!

This process is still in the works but 110% heading in the right direction .. I’m excited for what’s to come from all of this moving forward into 2027

I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t a little fomo today … but different year different goals 💪🏾

Still great seeing my brothers destroy it today with killer times achieved ✅ 🏆

Now to think … two years ago none of us lads had even put thought into running a marathon let alone starting a run club to now busting out distance for fun on the weekly and putting ourselves through ultras and backyard ultras 🤪

Well done my brothers and to everyone else who did the Sydney marathon today!

As the weather warms up it’s nice to see some familiar faces returning!

Track night tonight cancelled 😭

Over the weekend our 2nd birthday charity bake sale helped support a whole heap of small local based baking businesses, we didn’t ask for anything in return purely just come, setup and sell your treats!

In doing so we held a raffle with prizes generously donated by a heap of amazing local businesses in which we were able to donate all the proceeds directly to Youth Solutions

To everyone that was involved over the weekend we appreciate you 🙌🏾

Wow … we managed to pull it off

After being shut down by the council, losing a heap of vendors and sadly not being nowhere near as big as we had planned .

We were able to revive our second birthday charity bake sale ..

Firstly .. biggest thanks goes out to the team at 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐓𝐇 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐆𝐘𝐌 for graciously offering us their space allowing this event to go ahead - your generosity is truly appreciated ❤️

To all the vendors - we purely just wanted to help local small business and I’m so glad you were all able to sell your amazing treats and spread the word about your businesses, it’s safe to say everyone’s sweet tooth was satisfied this morning

To our run club members and anyone who attended today, we appreciate you abs your time

Lastly .. to the team working alongside me helping me to make sure this run club runs smoothly, we are two years in the making and with the changes we are currently making our 3rd year ahead is looking to be our biggest!

Laps run club is currently going through the appropriate procedures and measures in becoming a not for profit sporting group meaning the future and growth of this group is going to be massive opening some doors and opportunities for us to do even greater things in this community.

We will tally the money raised from the raffle and make a post tomorrow about how much money we raised for Youth Solutions
