🏁 TWO VERY DIFFERENT MACHINES. ONE 150-METRE STRIP. 💨

If you thought the Sand Drags at Weekend in the Dirt were just cars and utes… think again!

A huge thank you to Penny from Sandy Springs Sand Drags and Bad Penny Social Club for sending through some details on two of the machines you’ll see taking on the 150-metre strip at Rainbow this October.

🏍️ 2007 Kawasaki ZX10
Packing around 175HP, this bike reaches roughly 140–160km/h over the 150-metre track!

Its rider has been racing this machine for the past couple of years, after previously competing on a ZX9 and working their way up from the 450 dirt bike class.

🔥 ZAMBUKA EXPRESS
Then there’s something a little different…

Zambuka Express is a wild three-wheeler powered by a Chev 383 stroker engine, backed by a two-speed Powerglide transmission and estimated to be putting out somewhere around 500–600HP.

Bike. Trike. Big horsepower. 150 metres of dirt.

This is exactly why the Sand Drags are worth watching! 🙌

See the old girls put to work as vintage tractors take to the track, bringing a little bit of farming and tractor pulling history to the weekend.

It’s a full weekend of motorsport, machinery and country entertainment, and you definitely don’t need to already be a tractor pulling fan to enjoy it!
