What a player

Lee Hookey played 145 first grade games between 1999-2006 for South Sydney (two spells), St. George Illawarra and Penrith scoring 62 tries.

Hookey made his first grade debut for South Sydney against Canterbury-Bankstown
in round 1 of the 1999 NRL season at the old Sydney Football Stadium.

Hookey played in what was then South Sydney's last game as a club which was against the Parramatta Eels in round 26 1999 at Parramatta Stadium.

After Souths expulsion he signed for St. George. In 2002 he had a breakout season for the club and was their lead try scorer with 18 tries. In 2003 he re-joined Souths and was one of their key players as they struggled on the field coming last in 2003 and 2004. In 2006 he signed for Penrith but only played the one season for them before retiring.

Reminder – 2026 Koori Knockout Delegate’s Meeting

A reminder to all clubs that the next delegate’s meeting will be held this Saturday.

This will be the final delegate’s meeting before the 2026 Koori Knockout, so clubs are encouraged to make sure their representatives attend.
