Tomorrow morning, the waiting ends.

The boots will be laced. The jerseys will go on. The nerves will kick in. And 10 Westminster Warriors teams will take the field on Grand Final Day.

What an achievement. What a season. What a day this is going to be for our club.

From the first whistle at 8:15am to our final Grand Final kicking off at 5:00pm, Westminster will be alive with football — and we want the Warrior family there to make it something special.

This Friday and Saturday, 11/12 September, Westminster Warriors is proud to host a huge day of Grand Final football! ⚽🏆

We’re looking forward to welcoming players, coaches, families, supporters and visiting clubs to Westminster for what promises to be a fantastic celebration of football.

With a large crowd expected, please take a moment to review the attached Grand Final Field Layout before arriving.

🚗 PARKING & ARRIVAL

Parking will be at a premium, so we strongly encourage players and supporters to arrive early and allow plenty of time to find a park and make your way to your field.

Please use the designated parking areas shown on the map.

⛔ NO PARKING along Moreton Avenue.
⛔ DO NOT park in the Redbank Plains Library car park.

Please be considerate of our neighbours, local businesses and other road users when parking in the surrounding area.

⚽ TEAM WARM-UPS

A dedicated Warm Up Area has been established along Moreton Ave, as shown on the map. Teams are asked to use this area for their pre-match warm-ups rather than interfering with matches already underway.

☀️ SHADE & FACILITIES

Additional gazebos will be positioned around the grounds to provide extra shade for players and spectators. With plenty of football being played throughout the day, please come prepared for the conditions and help us keep the grounds clean and welcoming for everyone.

🚭 SMOKE-FREE EVENT
There is no smoking on or near the playing fields.

🚫🍺 ALCOHOL-FREE EVENT
Grand Final Day at Westminster is an alcohol-free event.

Most importantly, we want Friday and Saturday to be a day where everyone can enjoy the football and celebrate the achievements of all the teams who have earned their place in a Grand Final.

Our next match report is for the U12 Westminster Falcons with support from Coles

The U12 Div1 Falcons travelled to Mansfield to play the 3rd vs 4th Final in a bid to stay alive this season.

After a very hard fought match, where the teams couldn't be separated after normal time, Mansfield managed to put 3 goals on the scoreboard in Extra Time. Despite the loss the boys walk away from the match as winners.

The highlight was having Finn back to play the in the final which was a special moment for the whole team. All 14 boys played out of their skins and should be very proud of their efforts.

💚⚽ HUSKIES ARE GRAND FINAL BOUND! ⚽💚

The U13 Division 1 Huskies are heading to the Grand Final after an exciting 2-0 Semi-Final victory over Logan United!

After facing Logan just a week earlier to secure the Premiership, the Huskies knew they would be in for another tough contest — this time with direct entry into the Grand Final on the line.

The opening stages were a tight battle as both teams looked to take control. An early scare saw Logan find the net, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside. That sparked the Huskies into action as they lifted their intensity and began creating opportunities. The breakthrough came with a brilliant run down the right before cutting inside and producing a composed finish to give the Huskies a 1-0 halftime lead.

The second half saw both teams lift again. Logan pushed hard for an equaliser, but the Huskies’ backline stood tall, while the midfield and forwards continued to create chances at the other end. With around 15 minutes remaining, a fantastic striker’s run through the heart of the Logan defence was finished superbly to double the advantage and send the Huskies towards the Grand Final.

The final whistle confirmed a fantastic 2-0 victory and another huge achievement for this group. After earning the Division 1 Premiership last weekend, the Huskies have now backed it up by booking their place in the Grand Final! 🏆

A tremendous team effort, with every player playing their part when it mattered most.

From the first whistle to the last, they backed each other, supported each other and fought for every ball whether on the field or cheering and encouraging from the bench. That’s what makes this team so special! 💪💚Emma scored an absolute SCREAMER of a goal! 🚀⚽️With everyone else pressing hard, creating space and opening up opportunities, they kept putting Brisbane Valley under pressure and making things happen. The backline held strong all game, with T driving the ball forward and helping get the team moving up the field. The mids worked their absolute butts off, pushing through the centre and making those runs wide up the sides. And the strikers kept the pressure on every ball forward, constantly looking for that opportunity to find the back of the net. And Jaz, staying calm on the dot shot, keeping her focus and doing everything she could to protect her goal. 🧤💪What a performance!
