MOVEMENT LAB WITH BALLROOM BLISS HEAD INSTRUCTOR Blair Petterd

Most dancers are taught what to do, but not why it works. The Movement Lab is where you feel the why for yourself.

We start with Support — your standing leg, and how your whole body organises around it. From there we work through Pressure, the muscular work through the foot and leg that creates rise, and Projection, the opening of the free hip that moves you through the room.

Every exercise is simple: a short explanation of what your body is doing, a cue for what it should feel like, and a quick check so you know you’ve got it.

No routines to memorise. No partner needed. Just you, your two feet, and a clearer understanding of your own dancing.

✨ 8pm-9.30pm // $15 Ballroom Social Dancing
Suitable for all levels of dancer experience and the best time to socialise and meet new people. The Bliss Social is a blend of progressive dances and mini classes.

If you’ve always wanted to Dance but didn’t know where to start, then our Bliss Beginner Class is for you!

Back by popular demand and led by our Australian and NZ Ballroom Dancing Champion; Blair Petterd, our classes will have you moving confidently while having fun in no time at all!

This month’s classes commence on Friday 17th July, and continue on the 24th and 31st of July. This month Blair will be teaching the beautiful Waltz and cheeky Cha Cha Cha.

No partner or experience needed – just bring your positive energy!

Rock n Roll Dancing is back by popular demand at Redcliffe with our wonderful special guests, John and Jean from Breakaways Rock 'n' Roll Dance, Social & Welfare Club Inc. on the 10th of July.

With the fun kicking off at 7pm, John will lead us through Swing Jive, followed by Four Step Rock n Roll at 8:00pm, and then we’ll have some Social/Open Dancing from 9:00pm-9:30pm where you can bust out your favourite moves.

This is a great night for singles and couples alike looking to get out, move, and have some fun meeting new people while listening to the classic greats of Rock n Roll music.

Whether it’s your first night Dancing or you’re a season Rock n Roller we have you covered and for just $20 pp for the whole night it’s also great value!
