🏆 2026 REDLAND BAY CYCLONES FAMILY AWARD 🏆

We were incredibly proud to announce Greg & Katie Murphy as the recipients of the 2026 Redland Bay Cyclones Family Award! ❤️💛

This award recognises a family whose contribution to the Cyclones goes far beyond their own team or children — and Greg and Katie have certainly done that.

As Club President, Greg gives an enormous amount of time to the club, from coaching and field marshalling to organising, problem-solving and handling all the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the Cyclones moving forward.

And Katie is just as involved, whether she’s managing a team, working in the canteen, cooking, cleaning, opening up, closing down or simply stepping in whenever something needs to be done.

Between them, they have given countless evenings, early mornings and weekends to making our club better for all our Cyclones families.

Community clubs don’t run because of one person — they thrive because people care enough to keep showing up. **Greg and Katie have certainly shown what that commitment looks like.👏

🏆2026 REDLAND BAY CYCLONES CLUB ESTEEM AWARD🏆

We are incredibly proud to announce Roxanne as the recipient of the 2026 Redland Bay Cyclones Club Esteem Award! ❤️💛

The Club Esteem Award recognises someone who truly represents the values of our club — integrity, fairness, genuine care and a commitment to the people around them.

Roxanne’s contribution to the Cyclones is almost impossible to sum up. She is our Junior Coordinator, a coach, advocate, problem-solver and the person so many of us turn to when we need an answer.

She is a fierce advocate for our junior players, genuinely caring about their development, opportunities and experience in rugby. Her commitment also extends beyond the Cyclones, including her role with the Redland Roos representative rugby program for Met East, helping create opportunities for young players across our wider rugby community.

From coaching our Under 6s and coordinating our juniors, to helping with social media, answering questions, solving problems and simply being there when someone needs her — her fingerprints are everywhere.

Some people hold a position within a club. Others become part of its heart.

Roxanne is absolutely one of those people. ❤️

🏆 2026 REDLAND BAY CYCLONES VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR 🏆

We were thrilled to announce Katie Murphy as the recipient of the 2026 Redland Bay Cyclones Volunteer of the Year Award!❤️💛

Katie is one of those incredible people who seems to be absolutely everywhere — managing a junior team, working in the canteen, cooking, cleaning, helping open the club in the morning and staying behind to close at the end of the day.

So much of what keeps a community sporting club running happens quietly behind the scenes. The early mornings, the cleaning, the cooking, the organising and all those little jobs that simply need someone to step up and do them.

And Katie does. Over and over again.👏

🏆 2026 REDLAND BAY CYCLONES SPIRIT AWARD 🏆

Reflecting on our Presentation Day last weekend, we are incredibly proud to announce Steff Bulled as the recipient of the 2026 Redland Bay Cyclones Spirit Award! ❤️💛

The Spirit Award recognises someone who truly embodies what being a Cyclone is all about — passion, encouragement, generosity and community.

Steff is involved in just about every way possible. She coaches one of our junior teams, plays for our women’s side, and can often be found on the sidelines supporting and encouraging our junior players.

But it’s more than the roles she holds. Steff is someone who celebrates our kids, lifts them up when things don’t go their way and genuinely wants to see everyone around her succeed.

Her energy, warmth and willingness to support others help make the Cyclones feel like more than a rugby club — it feels like a community.

Steff, thank you for everything you bring to our club. ❤️.

🏉⚡️ THE 50 CAP CLUB ⚡️🏉

There is something pretty special about reaching 50 games in a Cyclones jersey. ❤️🖤

It represents more than just a number. It means 50 games of turning up, learning, growing, making memories, celebrating teammates, overcoming challenges and — most importantly — enjoying the game we all love. 🏉

At our Awards Afternoon, we were incredibly proud to recognise four of our Junior players who have reached this fantastic milestone:

What a season it has been for our U11 Blacks! ❤️🖤💛

This group has shown plenty of skill, determination and heart throughout the year. They have continued to develop, challenge themselves and play for one another, creating some fantastic moments both on and off the field. ⚡️🏉

Coach Tyler spoke about how closely contested the awards were, with so many players making a strong contribution across the season. It is a great reflection of the depth, effort and commitment within this team. 👏

It’s time to roll up our sleeves and get the clubhouse and grounds ready for the handover to Cricket! 🧹🧽💪

⏰ Starting from 7:00am
🧤 BYO cleaning gear & equipment, Utes for tip runs etc

There’s plenty to do, so every extra pair of hands makes a difference! Whether you can stay for the whole morning or just lend a hand for an hour — we’d love to see you there. ❤️

🏉❤️ U11 MAROONS AWARDS ❤️🏉

What an incredible season for our U11 Maroons! ❤️🖤

An amazing team, an amazing coaching group and some amazing results this season. But if you ask Coach Dave, Manager Rick and Assistant Coach Red, the results are only part of the story. Their pride in this group of players is impossible to miss — and honestly, proud is an understatement. 🥹🏉

This team has shown commitment, resilience, teamwork and plenty of Cyclone spirit throughout the season. They have backed each other, challenged themselves and continued to grow as both players and teammates. ⚡️
