Bit of arm pump incoming. Few new reels to add to the stable. The Quantum Cabo's have IPX8 waterproof rating, so basically indestructible. Looking forward to putting them through their paces on some Jew, Thready’s and Barra.
The Lew's Custom Pro are silky smooth running 11 bearings and over 8kg of drag. They come in at a great price point aswell retailing around that $220/$230 mark.
Ill definitely have earned a b**r after this.💪🫨💨🍻

I've been over the West side of the country with the family the last couple of weeks on holidays and flew back in on Friday night at 10 past 10pm. A short little sleep and had to get ready to fish the Wilson elite series grand final on the Saturday morning. Big shout out to my brother Brenden for getting everything ready while I was holidaying.

On the semifinal Saturday the top 35 qualifiers fish to try and secure a top 10 spot to fish the final on Sunday. We were lucky enough to put a bag of 10 fish together for 601cm which had us in 5th spot. Team Venom and Strickly Business smashed them though with 687cm and 673cm. Cracking bags of fish!

Grandfinal Sunday was a top 10 shootout. The strong Northerlies were up early and this made for a very tough and timid bite. We only managed to scrap together a bag of 521cm but was good enough to keep us in 5th spot overall. My 2 team mates Richie and Brenden pretty much carried us both day's and both fished extremely well just couldn't find the kicker fish we needed. Big congrats to Team Venom and Strickly Business with my good mate Wardy, Maty and Jas coming away with the win. Well done Gentleman!

A massive thanks to Swainy and all the GCSFC committee for a well run comp.
Our best lures for the weekend were the Duo Realis 120mm Jerkbaits, Wilson 6in Cheribins and the ever faithful 95mm Wilson Fishtraps.

Now I've gotta get back to work. 😆

This week we have a shark and a trout on the traditional sonar. Lucky enough to beat the shark to the boat. They are never too far away when there's tastys on offer. Screenshot on Lowrance HDS Pro 16. Trout on 7in Wilson Wild Shrimp. 👌

Fished the GCSFC Wilson Flathead Elite series R2 on Saturday. Not good enough to trouble the scorers up the top end but did find a couple of better fish. The ever faithful Duo Tide Minnow slim 140 and the Duo Tide Minnow Sprat 140 getting the bigger nibbles. Best one being 81cm for my brother Brenden. Bring on the Grand final in a month's time. 👌

Wreckin' Wednesday's!

Sometimes, one's better than the other. It pays to run all 3 Sonar aspects at once to get the whole story. As anyone that's done on water training with me knows, attention grabber, clarification and perspective! Shoot me a message or give me a call if you'd like to learn more. Thanks Nick.

Here's a shot from the Jumpinpin area. This time of year these fish are schooled in massive numbers. Who knows what species they are and who can count how many are in this screenshot. Shot taken from Lowrance HDS Pro and AI3IN1HD transducer.
