Is the warm weather finally upon us? Let’s hope so. ☀️☀️
Coming up Wednesday night our brand new Under 9s team are ready for R2! You have to get down and watch them, it’s your hump day feel good. 🥰 They’re at home again vs Macleod.
Following a pretty solid win last week our U17s take on Rosebank in their first 2 dayer of the season, also on home turf. 🏡
Our 1s on day 2 over at Lalor tasked with chasing down a decent total of 253. 🍀💪🏼 !
The 2s are still kicking back with a bye. 🏝️ Then wrapping the weekend up as usual on a Sunday morning our Cameronettes looking for a 4th win following 3 from 3 in another home game vs Camrea. 😎 !

We’ll see you all 💛💙

Vale Clayton Doig 🕊️

It is with great sadness that Cameron Cricket Club extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Clayton Doig, who passed away last weekend following a short illness.
Clayton was an exciting and fierce competitor who could change the course of a game in an instant, producing match-winning performances when they mattered most. With more than 2,000 runs and 200 wickets, Doigy will be remembered as one of the club’s finest top-level all-rounders. In 1991–92, he became only the second Cameron player to win the coveted JIKA Medal and played a crucial role in the 1st XI’s A-Grade premiership, which ended a 26-year drought.
Doigy also embraced the social side of the game. He loved sharing a b**r with teammates, opponents and umpires, reliving the day’s play and enjoying a good old-fashioned laugh. More often than not, he was the life of the party.
Rest peacefully, Doigy. 🌹

!

Its a huge week of cricket ahead at Cameron Cricket Club!
We still kick things off in the best way with our junior legends but this season its our teenies leading the way! Our Under 9s team take to the field for the first time Wednesday night at JE. 😍
A very special occasion at Cameron as one under 9s player will represent Cameron Cricket Club as a third generation playing member.
Congratulations to the Maher/Mickelson family on such a heart warming achievement! 📚
Then our biggest little legends follow on Friday night over in Lalor with their U17s match vs the Stars.
🤩 !
Our juniors are a tough act to follow but our seniors try their best to meet the standard on Saturdays.
The 2s kick back with a bye this week and the 1s boys head over to Lalor Warriors for Round 3. ! 😎
Then we polish off the week with our ladies cricket on a Sunday morning. The Cameronettes at home against the Fillies chasing win #3. ! 💪🏼

Hope to see you all around the grounds. 💛💙

Don’t tell the weather gods! 🫣

Our little legends are back this Friday! They’re not so little anymore but they’ll always be legends! 😍
They’ve got new team mates and new determination. Big game up first against Mernda at home.

The rain delayed the start of the senior mens season last week so here’s to hoping they get out there this Saturday. The 1s have got Olympic away and the 2s are at JE against Bellfield. 🙅🏼‍♀️☔️ !

The Cameronettes recorded their first win in Round 1 and are off to Banyule for Round 2 on Sunday morning. 💪🏼 !

We hope to see you all around the grounds! 💛💙
