Vale Cyril Land

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Cyril Land, a former racing colleague, fellow cyclist and highly respected member of the cycling community.
For those of us who had the privilege of racing alongside Cyril, he will be remembered not only for his contribution to the sport but also for the friendship, respect and camaraderie he shared with fellow riders, both on and off the track.
Cyril, along with his fellow Albury-Wodonga teammates, was a great supporter of the Preston Track Carnival and the ACES series, regularly making the trip to Melbourne to compete and support our events. His involvement and enthusiasm were always greatly appreciated.
I first met Cyril during the winter track series over a decade ago, and over the years we shared many races, conversations and great memories. He was a genuine character who embodied the friendship and sense of community that make our sport so special. His passing will be deeply felt by the many people who knew and respected him.
On behalf of the Preston Cycling Club, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Lee, Cyril's family, friends and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Rest in peace, mate. You will be sadly missed.
