Preston Reservoir Bowls Club

This weekend Preston Reservoir Bowls Club held our annual Opening of the Greens!

The Honourable Ged Kearney, a longtime supporter of Preston Reservoir, spoke about the special role that Clubs like ours play in the community. Ged has always stood up for this Club when we needed her.

Special thanks to the Oates family, whose ongoing support of our Club is so appreciated. This year they ran the famous annual raffle for our biggest prize table yet!

The Oates family also presented two wonderful Club volunteers with the Oates Award in memory of Ron Oates: Carmen Frawley, and Wayne Kennedy, whose award was accepted by his partner Ruby Spooner on his behalf.

Thank you to everyone who made this important day such a success. We declare the greens officially open for the 26/27 season!

Today we hosted our Winter Competition Grand Final.

Big congratulations to our winners, with a well deserved victory. Team Frawley went through the entire season undefeated 🙌

Huge shout out to all the volunteers and players (especially from other clubs) who helped make this competition run so smoothly.

Trivia is back for 2026 - Let’s Get Quizzical!

Join us on Thursday May 21 for cash prizes, wild card rounds, and tons of fun.

It’s $10 per person, BYO snacks/supper (we’ve seen everything from fruit plates to stacks of pizzas), bowlo price drinks, and bring some gold coins to get in on raffles on the night 🙂
