🏀 UNDER 14s WINTER BASKETBALL GRAND FINAL 🏀

What a fantastic way to finish the winter season!

It was great to see Eliza return from injury and get back on the court after spending the season coaching from the sidelines. Eliza showed a wonderful example of turning a setback into an opportunity and continuing to contribute to the team while she recovered.

The Grand Final saw the top two teams, Blue and Yellow, battle it out in a tough and skilful game that went right down to the wire!

Last night we also capped off a brilliant season for our youngest basketballers.

Our Under 8s have been working hard on their dribbling, shooting passing and defensive skills and they have all shown some great progress since the beginning of the season. 🌟

We finished up tonight with the kids favourite warm up drill followed by the ever popular mini matches and medal presentation 🏅

💜 Congratulations to Ziggy who was the recipient of the Lily Award in memory of Lily De Haas and to Cole who received the coordinator's award. 👏

A huge thank you again to Tim for everything he has done for our Under 8s this season. 👏

A big game between Purple and Blue for the U16s Grand Final last night, with Blue coming away as the winners at the end of the night! 🏆

Congratulations to Caleb Farrugia from Blue on being awarded the Grand Final MVP after a fantastic game. 🏅

Well done to both teams on a fantastic night of basketball! These two teams have battled it out throughout the season, and it was a great way to finish off the competition.

Next up was our U10s. We had a packed stadium last night for the Grand Final.

🔴 Red took the challenge right up to the ladder leaders Green 🟢 but unfortunately fell just short of claiming victory with Green coming from behind to win 17-14. Congratulations to both teams on a fantastic season and a toughly fought grand final. 👏🏆

🏀 U12 GRAND FINAL WRAP 🏆

Our U12s kicked off Grand Final week with Blue vs Yellow, and what a game to get us started!

💙 Blue 58 defeated Yellow 41 💛

Yellow put in their all and fought hard right to the final siren, but Blue proved too strong tonight. Congratulations to both teams on a fantastic season and a great Grand Final!

A huge congratulations to Levi, our U12 MVP with an incredible 32 votes, closely followed by Ted on 30 votes!

THANK YOU to all of our U12 coaches for the time, energy and encouragement you’ve given our players throughout the season, and to our U12 Coordinator, Meagan, for everything she has done behind the scenes to keep the season running smoothly. We couldn’t do it without you!

🏀 THAT’S A WRAP ON SEMI FINALS this week! 🏀

What a week of basketball! 🙌

UNDER 10s
Red defeated Black 17–12

Scores were tied 5 all at half time and then red managed to pull away in the 2nd half for the win! Congratulations Red! 👏

UNDER 16s
Purple defeated Black 69–38

Black were missing some key players but fought hard right until the final buzzer. Purple put on an absolute shooting master show, barely missing a shot all game! 🎯🔥

Well done to both teams and congratulations to Purple!

UNDER 14s
Yellow defeated Purple 60-55

What a game! Purple found themselves 22 points down at one stage but fought their way all the way back to within just 4 points. 💪 In the end, Yellow held on for the win. A fantastic effort from both teams and a great way to finish off our finals week! Congratulations Yellow!
