Ringwood Football & Netball Club

Ringwood Football & Netball Club The Ringwood Football & Netball Club is located at Jubilee Park, Greenwood Ave. Ringwood Our clubs history stretches 125 years.

The Club has sides including Seniors, Reserves, under 19s, women’s football, women’s netball, juniors, as well as a strong Auskick Clinic. The facilities that we use at Jubilee Park have been upgraded in 2022 and are of the highest quality and we invite you down to check us out or to join us on match-days. The Ringwood Football & Netball Club has had a long association with Ringwood and was originally based at East Ringwood Reserve before relocating to Ringwood Reserve in 1930. Ringwood Reserve was donated to then Lilydale Shire Council by the Grant family in 1915 and is now occupied by Eastland Shopping Centre. In 1959, Ringwood Football Club relocated to Jubilee Park, which was acquired by the Ringwood Council from the Sanders family in the 1940s. Following the development of Eastland, Jubilee Park was upgraded to become Ringwood’s premiere sporting precinct, providing a prominent home for the Ringwood Football Club and other sporting groups. In 2019, the club became the Ringwood Football & Netball Club as we incorporated netball into the club.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, you were incredible! There were lots of other people than in these photos, it just got too busy and we couldn’t get happy snaps of all the great people we had helping.

While there are so many volunteers to thank for making hosting finals a success, there are a few dedicated people we want to call out.

Since March this year, a group of 9 club members having been planning and organising everything related to finals. Thank you to:
- Brad Dalton
- Craig Jackson
- George Labbad
- Mat Eccles
- Matt Riley
- Mick Gray
- Rick George
- Trent Bartholomew
- Jake Keogh

This group met regularly (and even twice a week over the last 2 months!) to plan and organise everything that needed to be done for finals. They took days off work to set up the ground, got to the ground before 6am on finals days, stayed until late into the night to pack up and gave up a lot of time with their families to help the club.

To organise one of the largest events in Maroondah outside of the Maroondah Festival as pure volunteers (on top of their existing day to day roles within the footy club) is incredible and we want to say thank you!

With almost 10,000 people served yesterday, the Grand Final alone was the biggest day Ringwood has ever seen.

Thank you to all our volunteers, but on behalf of the club, we want to give a big thank you to this group who turned the vision of hosting a Premier Grand Final at Jubilee into a reality.

Once they are done packing up the club today, we are sure they will take a well earned break!

THANK YOU TO ALL OUR VOLUNTEERS!

Hosting a Premier Division Grand Final is a massive ask, and we couldn’t have done it if it wasn’t for the support and dedication of our volunteers.

From those who flipped burgers, to those who arrived at 5am each morning to set up BBQ tents, as well as those who gave up there time during the week preparing for today - thank you!

We cannot put into words the appreciation that we have as a club for each and every one of our Ringwood faithful who give up their time to help the club.

For those who say volunteering is dying, come to Ringwood. We are blessed to have the best volunteers going around.

Thank you everyone for all that you have done today and the last few weeks of finals. You are the best!🕷

Thanks to the incredible group of volunteers who have made this happen, especially those who took the day off work today to get the ground ready. We’re lucky to have such great people at our club🕷
