Risdon Brook parkrun Risdon Brook parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners and walkers of all standards, which takes place at Risdon Brook Dam every Saturday at 9am.

Risdon Brook parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 9am in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Risdon Brook parkrun is FREE and open to people of all standards and ages, both as volunteers and as runners / walkers. We encourage people of every ability to take part, from those taking their first steps in running to Olympians, from juniors 5 years or older to those with decades of experience. All runners receive encouragement and enjoy being part of a community event open to all standards. Equally, our volunteer teams come from a huge variety of backgrounds and we urge everybody to get involved in organising their local events at least 3 times per year.

Thanks everyone who put up their hand to help me out this week, we have a big week this week. Gloria is having her 500 Parkrun and I think that is the first one down here in Hobart wow. So help her celebrate her 500 run.and we have a birthday as well so come and join us for all the fun walkers runners joggers you name it come down and have some fun with us. Buzz will be your run RD this week.

This week 64 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 7 were first timers and 7 recorded new Personal Bests.
