Another big weekend of footy for the Roos, with plenty of positives across all age groups.

Our U11.5 girls continue to show great growth and development each week. Both teams are building confidence, learning the game, and improving with every opportunity they get out on the field.

Our U11.5 boys sides both recorded strong wins, with the focus now shifting beyond effort and skill into learning team structures, positioning, and game plan. It’s great to see the boys taking the next step in their football development.

In the youth grades, our U13.5 Girls Div 3 and U13.5 Boys Div 2 both continued their strong form, each making it three wins in a row. Both groups are playing some excellent football and building real momentum. Our U13.5 Boys Div 4 were incredibly unlucky, going down by the narrowest of margins in a one-point thriller.

Our U15.5 Girls continue to battle through a few injuries, but their effort and improvement each week has been outstanding. With many of the girls either first-year U15s or new to football, the way they continue to compete, learn, and support each other is fantastic to see. A win is not far away.

Finally, our U15.5 Boys made it three wins on the trot, moving into third on the ladder. They are also managing a few injuries, but the fight and resilience they have shown over the past few weeks is a real credit to their character. They now head into big boy month (as Dimma likes to say), with some strong competition ahead and a great opportunity to test themselves.

Another great weekend of footy at the Roo Pen.

Friday night kicked things off in cold and windy conditions, with our U11s getting the weekend underway.

On Saturday, we celebrated 30 years of the Roos with a fantastic day of football, community and festivities. It was great to see so many players, families, supporters and past Roos around the club enjoying the day and helping make it such a special occasion.

Sunday saw our youth teams in action, with another strong showing across the board — three of our four teams came away with solid wins, and all groups continued to show great effort, development and pride in the jumper.

A huge thank you to our volunteers, coaches, team managers, families and supporters who made the weekend possible.

A big thanks for Ewan. For all he has done for the Roos over many years. And a big welcome to David who has been part of our Junior Program in coaching and committee roles who will now take on the President - Seniors role. Love to see you all Saturday for our 30 years of Roos celebration

Dear Roos members, families, sponsors, past players and supporters,

On behalf of the Robina Mudgeeraba Roos Board, we wish to advise that 𝗘𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗰𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘇𝗶𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁.

Ewan has given an enormous amount to our club over many years. After almost four years as Senior President, and more than 10 years serving on the committee in multiple roles, Ewan has expressed his desire to step back from footy for a while to spend more time with his family and focus on his business commitments.

While Ewan is stepping down from the presidency, we are pleased to share that he 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗯 and continue to support the Roos through sponsorship, marketing and his ongoing role on the Senior Committee.

Ewan’s contribution to the Robina Mudgeeraba Roos has been significant. He has played a key role in strengthening the club’s profile, growing our commercial and sponsorship base, and helping shape the future direction of the club. Importantly, Ewan was instrumental in the creation and growth of our junior program, which began in 2022 and has grown by more than 𝟰𝟬𝟬% since then.

That junior growth is now forming the foundation of a genuine pathway into senior football, something that will benefit the Roos for years to come. It is a legacy Ewan should be incredibly proud of.

Following Board approval, 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲, 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 — 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗺 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯.

David has been Senior Vice President since 2025 and has also served on the Junior Committee since 2024. He brings strong sports administration, leadership and commercial experience to the role, including his previous position as CEO of Brisbane Roar from 2015 to 2022, as well as a background in financial planning and wealth management.

Ewan and David will work closely together through the transition to ensure continuity and stability for the club.

Members can be assured this transition has been carefully planned, and the club remains in as strong a position as it has been in our history. Across our Junior, Men, Women, and Masters programs, volunteers, sponsors and wider community, there is genuine momentum building at the Roos.

As we celebrate 𝟯𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘀, this is also a timely reminder that our club’s strength has always come from its people — past and present. We would love to see as many Roos members, families and past players as possible reconnect with the club and be part of this next chapter.

We encourage everyone to join us at 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗼 𝗣𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟯 𝗠𝗮𝘆 for our 30 Year Anniversary celebrations and to thank Ewan personally for everything he has contributed to the club.
