It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Reverend Canon Len Nairn, who died on ANZAC Day.
Len was one of the early Presidents of the Dolphins and played a crucial role in ensuring the clubโs early viability. At a time when the Dolphins were finding their feet, Lenโs leadership, judgement and quiet determination helped put the club on a stable path.
Beyond titles and positions, Len also served in a deeply personal way - over many years providing care and support to players and his students, offering guidance, encouragement and compassion well beyond the cricket field or classroom.
The Dolphins were also very much a family affair for Len. His sons Mark and Francis Nairn both proudly wore the Dolphins colours and remain part of our playing history. Lenโs broader contribution to education and community life is reflected through his long association as Headmaster of All Saints Anglican School.
Lenโs memorial service details to be confirmed.
RIP The Rev.
