Queensland football clubs are united.

Close to 100 clubs have come together with one clear message: major decisions affecting players, families, volunteers and community clubs must be transparent, properly explained and developed through genuine consultation.

Our clubs may represent different communities, regions and competitions, but we are united in asking Football Queensland to:

• Pause the proposed 2027 Competition Access Fee model
• Pause the current Affiliation Agreement process
• Provide full financial transparency
• Consult meaningfully with affected clubs
• Work with clubs toward a fair and sustainable way forward

This is not about resisting change. It is about ensuring that change is reasonable, properly planned and does not place unfair costs, risks or administrative burdens on families and volunteer-run clubs.

We remain committed to working constructively with Football Queensland for the benefit of everyone involved in our game.

Together, our clubs are stronger. Together, our voices must be heard.

It was a big weekend for our U12 boys at the 2026 Premier Invitational on the Gold Coast.🔥

The boys came out flying on Day 1, winning all three games, with every player finding the back of the net across the day. They backed it up on Day 2 with two more wins from three, playing some really positive, attacking football along the way.

Day 3 brought two hard-fought games against Glen Eira FC and Logan Lightning before the boys earned their place in the Grand Final.

In the final match of the tournament, the boys went toe-to-toe with Futboltec in an intense, skillful contest. It was 1-1 at half-time before two second-half goals saw our opponents take the win 3-1.

While the result wasn’t what the boys wanted, there is plenty this squad achieved.

They played some wonderful football, scored plenty of goals, entertained and won admirers with their attacking style of play, and made plenty of friends along the way.

A Grand Final appearance at the end of a big three days is something to be proud of. Well done, boys.👏 💪

Many thanks to Coach Lewis and to all the supporters and families who made the trip to the coast to cheer on the boys. 💛💚

𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗔𝗡! 🙌⚽

We’re delighted to welcome Michelle to our QPL4 Women’s squad for the 2027 season.

Michelle brings plenty of quality and attacking intent to our squad as we look ahead to the new season.

Having previously been part of our women’s program a few years ago, Michelle already knows Rochedale Rovers - and we’re excited to see her back in our colours and ready for the next chapter.

Chris Jackson, our QPL4 Women’s Head Coach is excited about what Michelle can bring:

“Having seen Michelle play, I’m really excited to have her joining us for the 2027 season.

“She’s a quality, attack-minded player who will add another dimension to our squad and fits perfectly with what we’re building. Michelle joins us with the ambition to help drive this team forward as we push for promotion in 2027.

“I’m really looking forward to working with her and seeing the impact she can make at Rochedale Rovers.”

Welcome Michelle. We’re very happy to have you with us. 💛💚

𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦 𝗝𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗦 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳!

We’re delighted to announce that Chris Jackson has re-committed as our QPL 4 Women’s Head Coach for the 2027 season.

Chris and our 2026 Senior Women’s squad gave us plenty to enjoy, respect and celebrate, building a hard-working and determined team that narrowly missed out on finals football.

Importantly, he has continued to build an environment where players can develop, challenge themselves and enjoy being part of the team. His focus on developing players and setting high standards has been a big part of what we’ve enjoyed seeing this season.

Having Chris continue in the role also gives us important continuity as we build our girls’ academy pathway from U10s through to opportunities with our Senior Women.

We’re very happy to have Chris continuing the journey with us, and we’re looking forward to seeing what he and the squad can achieve in 2027.

Expressions of Interest will open this week for our 2027 QPL 4 Women’s trials.

Bring on 2027. 💪
