Following Scott MacNicol's decision to step away after 10+ years, we're opening an Expression of Interest for one of the most exciting Technical Director positions in Queensland football.

Here's what you'd be walking into:

⚽ One of the best environments and facilities in South-East Queensland
⚽ A junior program with genuine depth across every age group
⚽ A Gold rated FQ Academy club, consistently ranked among the top Boys Academy programs in the state
⚽ A Women's & Girls program on a real upward trajectory, and a club serious about investing in it
⚽ A committee group ready to back the right person to take this club further

We're after someone who can oversee the whole club's technical direction, guiding our Junior DOC and Head of Women's Football to give every program one clear philosophy from the ground up, while personally leading our 13-18 Academy through to our Senior Men's and Women's programs. You'll also play the major role in delivering our FQ Club Assessment each year, working alongside a passionate committee, GM, and coaching group who all want the same thing: to build on what's already one of the strongest programs in the region.

What we're looking for:
✅ Football Australia A Licence (min) or Pro Licence
✅ Genuine experience in youth high-performance environments
✅ A track record of developing coaches, not just players
✅ Relevant tertiary qualifications highly regarded (e.g. Sports Science, Psychology, Exercise Physiology)

GIRLS UNITED
Our U10 Celta girls development squad had a fantastic time at Football Queensland's Carnival recently.

Girls United brings young players together in a fun, welcoming environment to enjoy football, build confidence, make new friends & celebrate girl's football.

Three games - a win, a draw & a loss - provided lots of great development opportunities & fun for our girls!! They gave it their all, supported each other and worked well as a team. 👊

FIVE ACADEMY TEAMS THROUGH TO THE SEMI-FINALS 👊

A superb achievement for our League 1 program, with 5 of our 6 U13–U18 Boys Academy teams earning home semi-finals in the 2026 finals series across 12 - 13 September.

We’re incredibly proud of the players, coaches, managers, and everyone involved in our academy program whose hard work, commitment and focus on player development and high-performance football have driven this result.

Rochedale Rovers FC can confirm that after 10 years at our club, Scott MacNicol has made the decision to step away from his role as Technical Director.

A hard-fought final round for all squads and another season the boys can be proud of. Five of our six teams finishing in the top two is a fantastic reflection of the work put in across the year.👏
