This weeks results at Rochester Golf Club -

Wednesday 9 hole social golf was played on the back nine. Winner on a countback was Peter Anderson with 24 points from David Gebbie. Other good scores were Les Hedington 21 points, Ray Brereton, Alex McQuibban and Mike Austin 20 points. NTP 12th Ray Brereton.

Friday the ladies played Stableford. Winner with a magnificent score of 54 points was Sally Parker. Runner up was Louise Williams 40 points from Julie Leahy 36 points, Jenny Major 35 points. Louise Eeles had 18 points on the 9 hole comp from Natalie Dinardi 15. NTP 3rd Barbara McCarty, 5th Cate Ward, 8th and 16th Julie Leahy.

Saturday the men played Par. Winner was Ap Kuiper +5 from Will Coghill +3. Ball winners Lee Hicks and Des Gallagher +1, Andrew Cassin, Peter Anderson and Greg Watkins square. NTP 3rd Andrew Cassin, 8th David Fuller, 9th 2nd shot David Fuller, 12th Eagles nest, Ap Kuiper, and Andy Purdy. 18th 2nd shot Jake Wright.

END OF YEAR GOLF TRIP - COBRAM/BAROOGA SUNDAY 13TH SEPTEMBER

To those members going on the end of year golf trip, the bus leaves the old pool area at 8am sharp, with a pick up at Cleary's Ampol Service station at 8.15am.

The cost will be $30 per head.

Results this week at Rochester Golf club -

Wednesday 9 hole social golf, was played on the front nine. Scores showed how good the course is playing. Winner was Alec McQuibban with a magnificent 26 points. Runner up was determined after a 3 way countback. Kevin McCormack was ruled runner-up with 24 points from Lee Hicks and Chris Eeles. Other good scores were Des Hocking, Robert Vise, Allan Campbell and Peter Anderson with 23 points. NTP 3rd Chris Eeles.

Friday Ladies event was Stableford. Winner with a good score was Barbara McCarty with 42 points. Runner up was Marg Knight with 36 points. NTP 5th Karen Niven, 8th and 16th Barbara McCarty.

Saturday Mens event was also Stableford . With wind and rain creating difficult conditions for golf, good scores were hard to come by. Winner on a countback was Brendan McCarty with 36 points from Steve Bubb. Ball winners were Zac McInnes 35 points, Ap Kuiper 35, Lee Hicks 34, Des Gallagher 33. NTP 5th Lee Hicks.

After a big weekend of golf at Rochester Golf Club last weekend, it was back to normal this week.

Wednesday 9 hole social golf was played on the back nine. After an extensive countback, it was declared that Richard Feuk and Chris Eeles tied for the win with 23 points. Robert Vise was runner-up with 22 points. NTP 12th Chris Eeles.

Friday saw a great field of ladies competing, with the 18 hole group playing Par, and the 9 hole group playing Stableford. The winner of the 18 hole group was Julie Leahy with +2, from Cate Ward with +1. Winner of the 9 hole group was Sally Parker with 17 points from Karen Niven 16 points. NTP 3rd 2nd shot, 5th and 8th 2nd shot, Karen Taylor, 16th 2nd shot Jenny Major.

Saturday , a good field of 32 players played Stableford. Winner with great score of 39 points was Shane Bywaters. Runner up was Murray Schier with 38 points. Ball winners, Troy McInnes 36 points, Zac McInnes 36, Lee Hicks 35, Brent Sweeney 35, David Harris 34, Bruce Bryant 34. NTP 3rd Murray Schier, 5th Grant Robinson.
