🔥 WHAT A DAY FOR XCO ROUND 3! 🔥
Rocky MTB Club hit the AMAZING Central Highlands MTB Trails today for Round 3 of the 2026 XCO Series — and what a day of racing!
A MASSIVE shout-out to the Central Highlands crew for putting together a great course. Challenging, fun and tough right to the finish — you guys should be seriously proud! 👏🚵
We had 30 riders across 11 categories, representing Rocky, Gladstone, Central Highlands and even Gympie!
Rocky had 11 riders on course, with some familiar faces hitting the podium:

As race season comes almost to an end. The Rocky MTB club is going to hold a more social event. Timed laps down whipsnake and dirt clows jamb. Further details and Entry's too come, stay tuned!

🚧 WORK HAS STARTED – CACTUS & THINK TANK 🚧
Realignment works are now underway on the bottom sections of Cactus and Think Tank at First Turkey MTB Reserve.
⚠️ Please stay out of the work areas. There must be no unauthorised entry, and riders in the area need to be cautious of machinery and workers operating around the bottom of both trails.
These works are funded directly by Rocky MTB Club and will realign the trail exits to:
👉 Improve rider safety
👉 Improve trail flow and the overall rider experience
👉 Bring both trails out near the shelter and Whipsnake exit
A massive shout-out to CQ Mini Excavations, who are on the machines and carrying out the realignment works for us. Great to have a local crew helping us make these improvements happen! 👏🚜
The realigned sections will remain closed for now and will open following the broader trail repair works later this year.
It’s great to finally see machines on the ground and improvements starting to take shape. More to come! 🤘🚵
